How can I blow dry my hair straight?

I'm a boy with short wavy/curly hair. My hair is at most 3 inches long. Is it possible to blow dry it straight?

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

i have curly hair , but its long so i use a straightenign iron . but shampoo and condition with herbal essence " dangerously straight" it will help you hair move in a fine line and smooth and revive your hair. after shampooing and conditioning , take a brush NOT A TOOTH COMB and blow dry it . if you want seriouly straight hair you dangerouly straight mouse before you blowdry thats if you want maxium results. well good luck !

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

you need a straigtening iron. yes even short hair needs it

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

yeah. Just wash it really good. And then go over it with a blow dryer until its as straight as you want it. Good luck!

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

not like...w/ a hairdryer. try using a straight iron.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

hm, you could try. you have a run a comb through it while your blow drying.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

Well i'll give you advice from a gurl, why do you want to straighten your hair. When dudes have curley hair they're hot!!!!!

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

What you need to do is use a coarse brush and pull on it while blow drying on it. Of course a flat iron works really well ike the wee chi or the .7" turbo chi =]

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

Get Biosilk and get a hairdryer and curler all in one. It looks like a round barrell. It won't curl your hair but it blow drys and creates heat which touches your hair on contact. Easier than brush and hairdryer. So instead of two items in hair you have 2 in 1 deal.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

Get a hair straightner...

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

yes, get a small brush and as you pull through your hair straight with one hand use the other to blow dry.... keep doing this to small sections until its all straight. also there is blow dryers that have brushes attached to them so you can do it all in one motion.

Good luck.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

possibly, but as a female, i use a flat iron to make my hair straight. if you are really wanting straight hair you can do one of two things .... see a stylist for a professional hair straightening, the other option is to buy a ladies perm kit and just apply the curling lotion ... once you have applied it, continue to comb your hair 'straight'. the lotion will relax your hair but you have to keep doing it for the time mentioned on the box. my honest opinion ... have it done professionally!

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

yah... if you take a like a brush and comb it straight as you are blow dryn it. that should work.

if you want my opinion if your a guy don't try to hard to hard to make your hair look good. I meen take care of it... but if it looks to girly... girls don't like it.

How can I blow dry my hair straight?

take a comb with very close teeth and put the hair dryer on as low as u possibly can and put a defuser or concentrator on it. Then blow dry your hair! ez as that also asking a professional hair stylest will also help they can sell u products to help with the straightening like straightening cream for before u blow dry it there ya go ; }

Something to help dry hair?

My hair is dry only near the ends, and I have no split ends. Can someone recommend specific good teatments?

Something to help dry hair?

either trim your hair

or go to a salon and get a hot oil treatment done

Something to help dry hair?

Try Just For Me Oil Moisturizer it should work just fine, and stay away from flat irons and curlers, try wrapping your hair

Something to help dry hair?

There are tons of conditioners, oils and deep treatments found over the counter.

Intense leave-in conditionners are good, but remember that they only coat the hair and don't actually repair.

The only way to "heal" hair, is to way for new hair to grow out and trim what you have now.

Stop using heating appliances or chemicals in your styling products, you'll notice a difference

Something to help dry hair?

if ur something other than black, u can experiment with different moistuzers. blend an avacado.and start air drying ur hair.make sure u get ur ends trimmed

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

Can you give me clear explantation of what is difference between 'em? I am confused by this because I have either dry or lifeless hair...

Please give me any links if you have one...thank you!

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

dry, dull hair has lots of split ends, looks dry, and lacks luster. lifeless, limp hair looks flat meaning you need volume.

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

dry means no moisture and limp lifeless means you can't do anything with it , its like unmanageable

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

Dull, lifeless, and limp all mean the same thing-there's no volume whatsoever. Dry hair means there's no moisture.

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

Dry hair is lifeless hair. Its lacking sebum , the skin and scalps normal lubrication

What is difference between dry, dull hair AND lifeless, limp hair?

Dry hair can be flat but it can also be frizzy hair. Dull hair is not shiny hair so usually when your hair is dry it is dull. Lifeless hair is usually oily and pretty much stuck to your head. Lifeless hair is thin and you cant really do anything with it. There are treatments for each of these problems but your right, you have to identify what your hair problem is first.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

i want my hair to dry faster so i use a blowdryer but then my mom told me that it damages your hair, changes the color, and doesnt make your hair look as nice as before

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

Your only other option is to air dry. You could get one of those special towels for wrapping your wet hair in out of the shower. The material soaks up the water out of your hair and then hair air dries quicker. A wet-dry flat iron would work, but it's likely do more damage than a blow dryer.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

It does, but if your dong that always use a heat daamge spray on ur hair and it will protect ur hair from having dry ugly hair!! I think everyone does that...and make sure you use teh perfect shampoo and condis aswell.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

let it air dry

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

The best you can do is wait it out. As soon as you get out of the shower, squeeze your hair to get the majority of the moisture out. Run a comb through your hair, and then towel-dry it. That'll leave it slightly damp. If possible, go outside and wait in the sun. Every minute or so, comb your hair to make sure it dries evenly.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

You can towel dry it, go outside in the heat. It drys quicker outside. Other than that I don't think there is. Some hair straigteners dry and stragiten at the same time.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

It's called air drying... towel dry your hair, spray on a protectant spray and comb it into the style you want then let the air dry it.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

oh yes, use your towel and dry the much you can. then allow the air to do the rest.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

You could try what my hairstylist does. After washing he applies hair products, combs through, and then I Pre-

dry under the hair dryer (the kind you sit under), for about 20 minutes. Then he'll blow dry. It may take longer but the damage isn't being done to the hair because the actual blow drying time is shorter.

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

Obviously you could air dry it, but you could try using a fan. The wind being blasted at you is cold, so no heat damage. But dont get too close and be careful. You dont want your hair to get caught in it!

You could also blowdry your hair using cool instead of warm/hot.

Most hairdryers have that option of cool air.

Good luck!

Is there a way to dry your hair without blowdrying it?

I usually wrap my hair in a towel for 10 minutes, so its not as wet, and the towel absorbs the water, then comb it out and air dry it! Hope this helps!

go to a salon and ask for some deep conditioning treatments for your hair. don't straighten or blow dry your hair, and if you must use thermal control spray. That way you won't damage it so bad.

How to make my hair look healthy and not dry?

Try using the John Frieda Anti-Frizz serum. The key to using it, though, is to apply is when your hair is still very wet...do not towel dry it first. Then you can blow it dry or let it air dry. It really does wonders for my natrually wavy/frizzy hair. Plus, it's very affordable...can be found at Walmart for about $7 for a bottle and a little goes a long way.

A girl's hair is 70% of her beauty,so you really should take care of it and give it your attention. Dont expose your hair to dryers or machine cause it will damage the roots and your hair cells. Use conditionals and comp your hair every day.

Here is a home remedy regimen for dry hair:

Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise treatment is an hour.

Spray the beer: If you do not get any relief from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.

Shampoo minimally: choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair.

Condition your hair: Conditioner glues cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.

Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so

Actually, I've experienced super dry hair too (plus hairfall) but a friend of mine suggested that I try coconut milk. U just apply fresh coconut milk on your hair and massage it well, then leave on overnight , rinse it well in the morning and it'll be so soft and shiny. Plus it's all natural, no chemicals to dry and damage your hair. And I've found out it also helps in lessing hair fall. You can use it as often as you like.

Also, try using Swallow Avocado Oil shampoo and conditioner. I'm not sure if it's available in Australia but if it wasnt try to find hair products with avocado oil because it's super moisturizing, it's so wonderful and effective.

And lastly, avoid using too much hair polish coz most of them tend to dry hair.

I hope my suggestions will help, have a good day!

you're being way too complicated with it. stop doing anything. just don't wash it for a while. shampoos strip your hair of oils. i wash my hair every 3 days or when it gets dirty. i suggest letting your hair replenish some of its natural moisture.

Can anyone recommend a good hair treatment for fine, dry, highlighted hair?

Looking for products that will not weigh down my fine hair but at the same time give it volume and yet not dry it out. Sometimes my hair looks like a birds nest. Would love to find a product that would give my pathetic hair some bounce and movement. Thanks!!

thermasilk or dove...i had dry hair and thermasilk really helped my hair out a lot...it's cheap and it works wonders :D

Can anyone recommend a good hair treatment for fine, dry, highlighted hair?

There is a product you can get at Sally Beauty suppy called Ion Reconstructor Treatment. It is very good I like to use it a couple of times a month. You do need to know though that since your hair is fine you should use it and then wash your hair because if you just rinse it out it will be too heavy and will weigh the hair down. It works great though. Your hair will feel much softer and strong for a couple of weeks after using it.

Can anyone recommend a good hair treatment for fine, dry, highlighted hair?

You should try John Frieda's Sheer Blonde shampoo it doesn't really matter if you are blonde but it's fabulous for moisturizing dry hair without making it greasy.

I currently use Biotin 5,000 iu, vitamin E, vitamin B-12 and a multivitamin. Alot of hair growth is from the inside out. mane n' tail is amazing.Avacado oil also has alot of vitamins and is great for the scalp and you can also try lavander oil. i suggest you make sure your hair is deeply conditioned once a week. i personally love the avacado oil (rub into your scalp and hair really well) (buy at healthfood stores) and then on top of that rub in the hemp and placenta mix (packets at walmart in hair section) you can also use olive oil as a great moisturizer as well. make sure to wrap your head in a warm heated towel for about 30 mins or so and then rinse really well. Don't shampoo though or else you undo what you have done. My hair came out super soft and not at all greasy, and very tangle free.

My is hair so long! How can i dry it really fast?

I have long hair it goes down to my butt. i need to find a way to dry my hair but i can't use a blow dryer because it wakes up my little sis.

My is hair so long! How can i dry it really fast?

If you can't use a blowdryer and you want your hair dry you should shower at night. Take your shower a couple of hours before you go to bed so that your hair has time to dry or you can blowdry it before your sister goes to bed.

How to get rid of dry brittle hair?

So i recently dyed my hair ash blonde, (it was orginally dark blonde) I don't straighten my hair, but i do air dry it and use alot of conditioner.

Is there a way of getting my hair healthy again, and what shampoo and conditoner do you reccomend?

How to get rid of dry brittle hair?

I don't think hair can get 'healthy again' until it grows out. Even then, the only thing that's alive about hair, is the root. Once you've damaged it, there are products that can smooth the shaft, sort of like moisturizer for dry skin, but once the product washes out the hair is the same.

If you really want it healthy again, as in, undamaged, you'll have to let it grow out without coloring it. Get the dry ends cut off, then decide what you want to do. I'd talk to your salon about a coloring method that would be more gentle.

I'd recommend Aquage color protecting shampoo and conditioner.

How to get rid of dry brittle hair?

Try not drying your hair for awhile. I know it's hard sometimes but it makes your hair healthier! I also use Garnier 3 minute mask to condition my hair. It works wonders!

How to get rid of dry brittle hair?

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is the BEST deep conditioner EVER! Plus its cheap. My hair used to be fried from straightening before I started using it.

Girls With Curly Hair, Have you Girls Used A Diffuser To Dry Yout Hair???

If you have used a diffuser on you hair do you recommend it?? Yes or No and Why????

When using a diffuser what products do you guys use on your hair( leave in, gel, spray)

When the hair is dry does it get poofy???

Are the curls well defined after using the difusser or not really???

Please only answer this question if you in fact have used a diffuser and knows is the product is good or not.

Girls With Curly Hair, Have you Girls Used A Diffuser To Dry Yout Hair???

I'd definitely recommend a diffuser. I always use a diffuser to dry my hair. It gives it a lot more volume at the roots. If you use good products, it shouldn't go frizzy or "poofy".

After you shower, lightly towel dry your hair and use a small amount of John Frieda Frizz ease throughout your hair. Put a good quality mousse on your hair, not too much, just enough so you can feel it on your hair. I use Wella High Hair, which can only be bought in salons in the UK... but it's worth trying a few to see which you prefer.

Dry it for about 10-15mins on a medium heat, medium power, concentrating on a section for a minute or two at a time. I then put a tiny bit of hair spray on when I'm done.

My friend seperates hers into section, about 8, and twists them, then dries them in the diffuser as they are twisted. This gives more ringlet-like curls. But the same before and after procedure applies.

Curly hair breaks more easily than straight, so make sure you take good care of it and get it trimmed regularly. This will reduce how frizzy your hair is.

Hope this helps.

Girls With Curly Hair, Have you Girls Used A Diffuser To Dry Yout Hair???

I have naturally curly hair and I've used a diffuser before, but to be honest, if you blow dry your hair on low heat and low setting, while scrunching your hair, and you don't blow dry it until it's all the way dry, you really don't need a diffuser. I could see no difference as far as curl pattern or frizz. The trick is not to blow dry on high heat or the high setting because then you are blowing the hair all over and it will frizz and get "poofy". I use Curl Rocks by TIGI...shampoo, conditioner, leave in moisturizer, curl booster and gel. These products are available at your local beauty supply.

Well what really works for me is shower, straiten, brush, curl, Blow dry and you look perfect. if it doesn't work ring me up at

How to get rid of dry/frizzy like hair?

My hair is pretty frizzy, no matter what i do..so what can i do to stop it! i have tried creams,products..and none of them seem to work. Are there any ways to get rid of dry hair without spending all that money that i go through!'

And I do straighten my hair..but barely ever..and i dont blowdry.. I think it may be the humidity or something like that but is there anything i can do so that my hair stays shiny and smooth?

Thankss.

Bye.

How to get rid of dry/frizzy like hair?

Change your diet to include more fresh vegetables and fruits and organic fruit juices. Drink 6 to 8 bottles of pure water every day. Do this forever. Most people do not realize, but almost everything that effects the human body is caused by a crappy diet. Cut out junk foods and sodas especially. Both of these things will screw up your internal systems so that at any time in the near future your body will begin to shut down in certain areas. And I know you don't want that to happen. Stay healthy, stay beautiful. stay young.

How to get rid of dry/frizzy like hair?

You need to use some type of silicone shine serum before you blow dry. I have thick, coarse, color treated hair that frizzes up constantly and the only thing that has ever worked is a silicone serum. I prefer BIOSILK or Jonathan Beverly Hills serums. They are priced higher than stuff you would find at a drug store, but you only need to use a small amount (like a pea sized drop) because a little goes a long way. It's really worth the investment. These products coat the hair shaft, add softness and shine and resist humidity. Also, if you use a flat iron, you NEED to use some form of heat protectant spray the keep your hair from becoming damaged - which will only make it more dry and frizzy. Good luck and happy styling = )

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become stra

my hair has a natural kink. when u see celebrities with big and extremely loose waves that is how my hair is but when i dry it i have to brush it and then it becomes straight. when i brush my hair in general the waves go away. is there something i can do or use to make my hair its natural way and stay like that all day long?

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

okay girl listen to me. since you have wavy hair you should NOT brush your hair k? just after you take a shower and its wet, brush your hair, but after that do NOT brush it because your wavyness will go away. you can either a.) let your hair air dry and apply moose (i suggest herbal essence or fructis) and scrunch or b.) you can dry your hair without a brush a bit and then apply moose and SCRUNCH!

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

use moose and gel and scrunch it. do not brush it after you scrunch it

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

don't brush it after you've blow dried it. use gel to scrunch it. then add some hair spray to make sure it will last.

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

First don't brush your hair. Use a hair pick. Try using Tresemme hair product shaping milk for curls. If you blow dry your hair use a diffuser and scrunch while you dry. Than use a light hair spray and scrunch again.

My hair is naturally wavy and i can never get the waves to stay,if i dry my hair it will become straight.?

i have the same type of hair. when my hair is still wet when i get out of the shower, i loosely braid my hair in 4 braids with gel. when i wake up in the morning, i just take out the braids, wet it, and put gel it in.

How can I blow dry my hair without looking like I'm from the 80s?!?!?

My hair is thick and poofy and a mixture of african american and caucasian. When I blow dry it, it gets GIANT (believe me, it literally poofs about 9 inches to a foot off my head! ). How can I prevent this?? I dont always have 2 hours to flat iron it. Do I just frizz creme and a round brush or something? WHAT DO I DO?!?!

How can I blow dry my hair without looking like I'm from the 80s?!?!?

First don't flip your hair upside down and blow dry! That gives it volume which you don't need. Try a round brush or even a regular brush, blow your hair under not out. Frizz cream can help too just don't use too much otherwise it will get oily looking. If you want to do a curly style, add some moose or gel and blow dry on low. I hope this helps if you need anything else just ask!

How can I blow dry my hair without looking like I'm from the 80s?!?!?

Do not brush it. Crunch dry it with your hands by lightly grabbing handfuls and allowing the dryer to dry around it.

How can I blow dry my hair without looking like I'm from the 80s?!?!?

i also agree

condition and stay away from the heat and the ponytail holders and see about getting your ends trimmed. it makes your hair look healthier. My personal favorites for damaged hair are Garnier Fruitis, Dr. Miracle, Tresemme, Paul Mitchell, Doo Grow, and Sunsilk. God speed.

What brand of hair products work best with dry damaged hair?

Fruites is good. What you want to do is condition real good. Let your hair grow. Cut the dead ends off. Don't use a curling iron or blow drier on it. That stuff kills your hair. Don't die it eather. Just let it grow.

What brand of hair products work best with dry damaged hair?

Don't believe the hype. Pantene Pro-V and other products advertizing that they nourish hair with vitamins, are full of it. Your hair is actually dead, so putting vitamins in it does nada. I have super dry hair as well and the BEST product I've found is Phyto. It's a brand of hair care lines, you can only find it at places like Sally's and other salons. It's not available at drugstores as far as I know. It's a lil more pricey, but it's definitely worth it. Also, my hair send to get fried if I don't get it trimmed once every two months. It actually gets so bad that the end break off so my hair doesn't grow. I try not to use color treatment, and avoid Suave products, because it's like putting clorox in your hair! Yuck! Blow drying is bad for it, but suprisingly, when you towel dry your hair too roughly, that's even worse for it! Just set your dryer at a lower setting, for healthier results. Also when you comb out tangled hair, start at the tips and work your way up for less breakage. You can also spray leave in conditioner in your hair in the morning. It keeps flyaways down, and protects your hair from the elements. Try not to wash your hair everyday if you can get away with it also. These are the tips I use everyday, and I've really noticed a difference; I hope these help you! Best of luck!

garnier has special shampoos in conditioners for every type of hair, curly, straight, as well as dry and damaged, try that, other than hair products you could go get a haircut which could help damaged ends be removed, and while your there as your hair dresser what you can do...

p.s. garnier can be bought as Walgreens, CVS, etc.

What brand of hair products work best with dry damaged hair?

Paul mitchell or Phillp Kingsley (trichologist - hair doctor). Also coconut oil is very good for dry hair. You can buy it naturally in an ethnic shop ( i melt it on the radiator and use it on my skin also) or you can buy a product with coconut in it. Both Boos %26amp; Superdrug do Coconut ranges for about 鎷?.19

Hope this helps

What brand of hair products work best with dry damaged hair?

NONE!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

To those who have dry hair, here is a beauty secret that works for me great, and it could do the sam

here it is: when you have finished your style/hairdo, rub some moisturizing/hydrating conditioner around your hairline(i forgot to mention this secret is specifically for people who have dry, rough hair around the hairlinr, like me). after you rubbed the conditioner on, brush it down lightly, then your frizzes will lay down like you had rubbed gel instead. good luck and go show off your luscious hair, even if it doesnt seem like it to you!

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped

i stopped a couple months ago. i can see my hair getting better and a little healthier. but i have lots of split ends. my hair isn't that long. and i DO NOT want to cut it. so two questions.

1.) How do i get healthy, shinny, not dry hair?

and

2.) how do i get rid of split ends with out cutting my hair?

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

for the healthy shiny hair, you need a good deep conditioner and perhaps a hot oil treatment--Alberto VO5 is a good brand to try. As far as split ends, there's really no way around getting rid of them without cutting them. Keeping your ends trimmed is one of the keys to healthy hair.

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

You cant get rid of them, they just get worse and split the hair all the way up...you'll end up having to cut loads off if you dont have an inch or two off now...anyway, long hair doesnt look nice when its all split.

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

well, you can put avocado, mayonaise (i know sounds gross, but trust me), bananas, milk, and/or beer/vodka (but you wouldnt want your hair smelling liek booze)

for the second question, thats really stupid, because you cant get rid of split ends unless you snip it a bit. there are nothing wrong with layers, and your hair will grow much faster once trimmed once a month.

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

I dont think there is any way to get rid of split ends without cutting them.....

but there is a product you can use by Matrix called Instacure, it Helps split ends.....also Deep Condition!! Good luck.

PS There are Redken products you can use that help with Dry Damaged hair.... here is a link....

http://redken.com/products/displayBrand....

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

you cannot get rid of split ends without cutting your hair but you and trait your hair so you don't get anymore.

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

To straighten your hair without drying it, you can order a MaxiGlide. It straightens your hair with steam, and not heat.

You should just trim your hair to rid of the split ends.

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

1) use sunsilk hyda formula the shampoo and conditioner also it wouldn't be bad to use the hydra gel

2) it is impossible to get rid of split ends without cutting them but if u trim the tips of ur hair every month ur hair will grow out and get healthier take it from someone who knos

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

I have to same problem, I had to cut my hair, now i have layers, trust me your hair grows so much better.

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

1.) Make sure you're not using over the counter stuff to shampoo and condition your hair. Anything like pantene and suave have waxy derivitives and will coat your hair and make it split more. It's worth it in the end.

2.) Buy a good deep conditioner from the salon. Buy some plastic caps like you use in the shower to keep your hair from getting wet. Wash your hair at night and sleep with the conditioner and the bag over it overnight. Or if your laying out to get a tan slap the conditioner in your hair, both are good ways to deep condition it. Eventually you'll have to get it cut. My advice is to go in every 4-6 weeks or so and ask them to take off 1/4 inch. The hair usually grows 1/2 inch a month so your not taking much off. Ask them to show you what their 1/4 inch looks like before they cut, that way you both know what you're getting to avoid any confusion. Most combs that are used have measurements on them to make it easier.

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

i use aussie 3 minute miracle in the shower and i use neutrogena triple moisture hair serum after i get out of the shower. But my hairs thick and curly so it doesnt really show without straightening it.

My hair is kind of damaged from dying it alot, plus its dry from over striaghtning it. but i stoped both......

You HAVE to cut your hair to get rid of the split ends, otherwise, they will just get worse. Try a deep conditioning treatment to help with the dryness.

How are those Wet to Dry hair stylers?

do they damage your hair? does your hair come out with a smooth finish? When i blow dry my hair it loses its style with in a few hours. So another heating element such as a curling iron or straightener is needed. If they are worth it, can anyone recommend one?

How are those Wet to Dry hair stylers?

I gave both of my daughters the new wet dry straigtner by Revlon for Christmas. They use it every day and their hair is beautiful and shiny. I have not seen any evidence of damage and when they get layers their hairstylist says there are very little split ends.

How are those Wet to Dry hair stylers?

auwfull and cause dry damaged locks to give your hair more style try applying some volume mouse when your hair is wet this will help you style more easily. I swear by my ghd but i use a hot iron spray before using them.x

How are those Wet to Dry hair stylers?

I have awet to dry straightener by conair...it's great. It has a setting to use on wet hair and a separate one to use on dry hair and a heat setting as well. Contrary to what alot of people say around here, it does not damage hair any more using it wet than using any other heated hair appliance. I got it at walmart for about $20. Here's the link to it on conair's official site http://www.conair.com/instant-heat-ceram...

I've used many straightners over the years and this is, by far, the best one I've tried. For the money, you can't beat it!

How are those Wet to Dry hair stylers?

i use the wet to dry straightener...yes i agree that it is VeRy bad for ur hair, cause it heats ur hair wen really wet...i jus use it after i blow dry my hair...nd my hair is really shinny....nd i lov it that it has a heat settin...

Any help with my dry hair?

So here's the problem:

My hair is a bit dry...

I only use mild baby shampoo when taking bath..

I don't use conditioner or any treatment products cuz it makes my scalp itch so much and cause much dandruff..

When I had my haircut the stylist told me to use more conditioner..

I really want to make my hair soft and thick.. but it seems that my scalp is very irritable..

What am i going to do? Any advice?

Thank you very much!

Any help with my dry hair?

I would suggest using cholesterol.

The reason i suggest this is because cholesterol is low in fragrances and added chemicals and colors, which will make it less likely to irritate your scalp.

It also has proteins and vitamins which alot of the time dry and damaged hair does not, but should. It will help promote healthy hair growth, make your hair seem thicker and will moisturize and shine.

In your bath after shampooing your hair, towel dry your hair a little bit then apply the cholesterol from your scalp to the ends of your hair.

Keep it in for about five minutes then wash out.

You don't have to do this every night but about two or three times a week and you can cut back to once a week or even twice a month after you begin to see improvements in your hair.

Do you put anything else on your head that might irritate it?

Does hairspray dry your hair out?

Ive been using hairspray recently to scrunch my hair to give it a break from straightening it every day, but it seems soo dry, even after i was the hairspray out. ??

Does hairspray dry your hair out?

yes it drys and damage your hair.

Does hairspray dry your hair out?

yessssssss it does because there is alcohol in hairspray not the kind you drink anddd if your hair is colored it will even dull your hair color or take it out over time.

Does hairspray dry your hair out?

Yes it does, you need to use a good clarifying shampoo to take all the build up from the spray out of your hair and then deep condition it to get some life back in to it. ..

Best of Luck ~~

Does hairspray dry your hair out?

yes, cuz of the alcohol in it

(10 ez pts) How do I blow dry my hair to achieve this style?

My hair texture is almost identical to this ugly guy:

How to blow dry straight?

(10 ez pts) How do I blow dry my hair to achieve this style?

take a flat comb, and as you comb your hair, follow it with the blow dryer, from the root to the tip.

If you want to go an easier way .. use a flat iron.

(10 ez pts) How do I blow dry my hair to achieve this style?

just wave your blow dryer around your head like a maniac and occasionally use a brush to straighten it out.

(10 ez pts) How do I blow dry my hair to achieve this style?

you could probably use a hair straightener actually..

or just try putting some kind of straightening serum in your hair and then blow drying it out.

(10 ez pts) How do I blow dry my hair to achieve this style?

When you take the pic to the stylist, have him (or her) show you how. That way you can actually watch it being done %26amp; also he can tell you what products to use too

(10 ez pts) How do I blow dry my hair to achieve this style?

Just use a brush or comb and comb your hair straight while blow drying. You can use some volume mousse (it will give you some volume without the crunchiness of gel mousse). Or you can also use a dab of hair way or serum. Comb your fingers through the hair to finish.

My wife hair is dry and is breaking off.?

what is the best product for dry hair /breakage/thinning. she have tried just about everything.

My wife hair is dry and is breaking off.?

She needs a treatment for damaged hair.. tell her to try a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner, with a hot oil treatment and then use a moisturizing leave in.

For leave-ins I have Alter-ego, and Paul Mitchell "The cream",

For shampoo, i dont reccommend pantene or dove.. (it kinda washes the moisture back out). OH! I forgot.. aveda has hair care products for dry-damaged hair.. they have shampoo/conditioner and the leave-in is very water based. You can buy aveda products online or go to a salon that sells aveda. Dont use the walmart products. If her hair is falling out and thinning.. some suggested Nioxin.. but int his case her hair is falling out b/c its damaged.. the needs to use a treatment.. like some of the ones i mentioned. When I went to a salon they used Alter Ego in my hair for treatment and Almond oil as a hot oil treatment. The heat penetrates the moisture into your hair. There are many diff types of treatments you can use especifically for damaged hair, you just have to pick out which one you would like to use

My wife hair is dry and is breaking off.?

olive oil

My wife hair is dry and is breaking off.?

http://www.regissalons.com/designline/im... this will make her hair shine and strong.

My wife hair is dry and is breaking off.?

The best thing to do is start at the scalp. Try daily massages to the scalp with olive oil before she washes. Then I would wash with shampoo and conditioner made for very dry hair. Biolage is a very good line. It's expensive but it works and it's sold in salons. She should also take a multi vitamin and a hair skin and nails vitamin daily while drinking plenty of water. Also, she may want to follow up with a leave in conditioner. Make sure to massage the scalp while putting it on. Never use very hot water either. Try to rinse in the coldest water possible. This will close the hair follicles to reduce daily damage. Get hair trims religiously. At least every 4-6 weeks and find a stylist that she can trust. Also, improving her protein intake might help a bit too. Diet will change the hair too.

How do you get your hair to air dry straight?

When I get out of the shower,I towel dry my hair and brush it with a shower comb. I put leave in conditioner in and let it dry. Its dries extremly curly and gets like 3 inches shorter. How can I make it dry regular length and straighter?

How do you get your hair to air dry straight?

I feel your pain. But, you will never have brush and go hair. I have straighten my hair for years, but I have recently come to face the truth, I have curly hair. What I do now is mousse, hair spray and go. It is much easier.

But if you want straight hair this is what works for me;

Let you hair dry naturally, brushing periodically.

You must put some product in your hair in order to protect your hair from damage. I use an aerosol shine enhancer.

Blow dry your hair straight.

I always curl the ends, it keeps your ends looking good.

How do you get your hair to air dry straight?

hair dryer or straight iron

How do you get your hair to air dry straight?

If you have really curly hair, it'll probably never dry straight. HOWEVER, the best straightening cream/leave-in treatment ON EARTH is called "Straight +" by All Nutrient, which is affiliated with Sukesha. Seriously, it's the best. It'll help.

How do you get your hair to air dry straight?

My wife does this all the time, Ive watch how she does it. First she use shampoo, and conditioner called "Redken - Smooth Down". Then she blow dries em, then hot flat iron it. Seems like a lot of work! She would put some frizz ease on it.

Using a vented round brush will naturally straighten your hair about 45%, exceot if you're African-American.

How do you get your hair to air dry straight?

How do you get your hair to air dry straight?

How To Straighten Your Hair

Here's how:

1)Wash and condition hair. Blot dry. Hair should be almost dry when you begin.

2)Gather up hair into several sections and secure or clip hair on top of your head. You will be drying the bottom layers first.

3)Follow the brush (with your dryer) down the sections of hair as you straighten each section and be sure to keep the dryer moving.

4)Take down a new section of hair and procede as directed above.

5)Work your way up the layers until all sections are dried and straightened.

6)To curl the ends for a polished look, take your brush and pull the ends under. Finish your styling with a blast of cool air if your hairdryer has this capability.

Tips:

Be sure to condition your hair often. Sun, cold temperatures plus the use of your hair dryer can be hard on your hair. For best results, use products formulated for your hair type. It does make a difference. Give your hair a break and allow it to dry naturally as often as possible. Have split ends snipped every six weeks to two months to ensure that they don't travel up the hair shaft.

If Your Hair Is Curly:

Since your hair is prone to dryness, use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

After washing, gently blot hair dry with an absorbent towel and apply 4 to 6 drops of silicone-based shine serum (the thicker your hair, the more you can use).

Detangle hair with fingers, and allow it to air dry.

Best shampoo AND conditioner's for dry curly hair?

What type of hair shampoos and conditioners should I get for dry curly hair thats frizzy?

Ive dyed it in the past twice and dont plan on doing it again. It didnt make my hair worse or anything, but I dont want to take a chance and make it more dried out then it already is.

Can someone please give me the names of some realy good conditioners and shampoos? Im currently using pantene, and I do not like dove. Im looking for something thats realy good. Please dont say suave or white rain. Those are awful.

Thanks

Best shampoo AND conditioner's for dry curly hair?

I used to have curly dry frizzy hair aswell, and it was suggested to me to try curl life shampoo and conditioner

http://www.matrix.com/products/curl_life...

(I buy mine at the Rob Roy salon in my town)

Washing hair too often can be damaging and if you're doing this daily it is definitly contributing to the dryness. This is why some people use baby powder in their hair instead of washing it each day.

I wash it with curl life every so often but use the conditioner daily. It does actually keep it clean and smelling wonderful and it seemed to almost instantly repair it, I even continued to use my hair brush (which isnt reccomended, a comb should be used) and the first night I took a shower and just used the conditioner, after I brushed it and let it dry naturally, my curls were big, fluffly and gorgeous!

No matter what you choose as you're shampoo/conditioner, do not wash it with the shampoo often. You will notice a big difference and it is much healthier on you're hair.

Good luck.

Best shampoo AND conditioner's for dry curly hair?

OK herbal essence it is like the best one the blue bottle they make your hair super soft and shiny that is the best i cant like without it Report It

Best shampoo AND conditioner's for dry curly hair?

Sunsilk Anti-Poof or De-Frizz

Best shampoo AND conditioner's for dry curly hair?

Just occasionally use a conditioner on the very ends, and make sure you wet your hair very well when you shower/bathe, and make sure the natural hair oils get spread over all the hair.

Shampoo will never help, it will only make it puffy and frizzy. I've been trying for years to find a good one but no luck.

Not washing your hair might sound yuck or strange, but believe me you don't need to, as long as you clean it with water, it will be fine.

Best shampoo AND conditioner's for dry curly hair?

I recommend Herbal Essences because it's really good for dry hair, it's got good moisturizers and it smells wonderful. It's also not that expensive. If you need more body, get the Body Envy kind, but if you want to keep up with playful curls, I'd go with one of their curl options. I used to use Pantene too but then my hairdresser told me that Pantene is one of the most drying shampoos there are out there. Hope that helps!

Best shampoo AND conditioner's for dry curly hair?

I love Redkin Extreme Anti-snap leave-in conditioner. You can get it at the salon.

It's really great for frizzy/wavy hair. I live in Hawaii where it's very humid and this is the only product that I've found which allows me to air dry my hair without having it go crazy.

Also works well when I blow dry... but then I like to add some smoothing cream to protect the hair from the heat.

Tips for blow dry ur hair and straigth it?

its hard to blow dry my hair ,, and it doesnt get any straight only frizzy ,, and tips for straigth ur hair (flat iron)

Tips for blow dry ur hair and straigth it?

Go buy some Desert Essence Jojoba Oil: http://www.vitacost.com/DesertEssenceOrg...

After you get out of the shower, put 1 drop on your wet hair (only the long part that's past your ears). This will make it so that your hair feels softer and not as frizzy. Afterwards, you can air dry it, or use a round brush and blow dry. Separate your hair into small parts, put the brush underneath, and blow dry it along with the brush at the same time. This should help make it straight. After you dry your hair, you can straighten it with a straightening iron.

Tips for blow dry ur hair and straigth it?

you should use a blow dryer w/ like a narrow tip..probably not the best explanation..but that way the air doesn't go all over the place..only on the areas your working on..you should do it section by section..%26amp; if you want volume do it w/ your head up side down

Tips for blow dry ur hair and straigth it?

do u have curly hair?

i always liked the blow dryer with a round brush .it makes your hair stright without thefrizzies and gives it more body.

Tips for blow dry ur hair and straigth it?

then let your hair air-dry/towel dry

then put some straightener spray in

(it helps protect your hair from burning)

and comb it through your hair with fingers

then straighten it!

my straightener was only $20 at walgreens and works pretty good!

do touch-ups in the morning

Hope this helps!!

Tips for blow dry ur hair and straigth it?

My hair frizzes when it dries, so I take a shower the night before and let it air-dry most of the way. Then I sleep on it. The oils in my scalp tame the frizziness while I sleep, and in the morning, although it's mussy, it isn't frizzy anymore. Try Biosilk Heat-Activated Conditioner. It makes your hair really shiny when you flat-iron it.

Tips for blow dry ur hair and straigth it?

My hair is just like that! I tried using Herbal Essence Straigh Shampoo, but it is now drying in ugly-long-spiral-curls! So don't use that......but it smells really good! :)

Here's what I found works for me.....

First: Put a bit of straightening gel in your hair.

Next: Take a brush and a cruling iron. Run the brush through your hair really slow, and put the blow dryer on the brush as it slides down. Do this with every piece of hair until its completely dry.

Then: Wait 10 minutes or so.

Aaannndd thennn: Straighten your hair!

It worked really good for me! I hope it works for you!

P.S. My hair is really poofy in the morning, and thick. When its straightened, its really long, but the poof-y-ness makes it look all short!

Tips for blow dry ur hair and straigth it?

i have curly hair so when i want it straight after i get out of the the shower... i blow dye it amd i brush it straight. and i dont blow dry it all the way... jst until its barly wet, and keep brushing it straight until its dry so when i am done with that and its not as staight as i want it.. i straighten it and ta-da. i no it sounds like alot but its not

Here are some how-to videos to help you.

Blow-drying: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-blow...

(you don't need to work that hard at it if you are going to use a flat iron afterwards. Just dry your hair and straighten the roots, and a bit the length.)

straight from the pages of GLAMOUR ~

Work on thin sections of hair~

if hte heat can't penetrate, your hair wont be completly smooth. the thicker and curlier your hair is, the thinner the amount you should tackle at once.

Dont flat-iron damp hair~

it can burn your hair and change the texture, making it rough and dry.

How to use the flat iron correctly~

Apply styling stuff to damp hair, towel dry it and clip up into sections. If your hair is wavy, brush it with a paddle brush. Then Flat Iron small sections of hair at a time.

Best Smoothing stuff~

Samystraight relaxing creme-$6~its strong, but not heavy- perfect for coarse hair

Herbal Essences Finishing spray-$3~Makes all flyaways simmer down.

Good Luck!!

IF you blow dry your hair and then wash it after a while .....?

If you blow dry your hair and wash it after a while can you have a possible side effect of the hair getting thinner ?

IF you blow dry your hair and then wash it after a while .....?

I don't think so. Thinning hair is usually a hormonal problem, more common in men but, also happens to women.

IF you blow dry your hair and then wash it after a while .....?

No

IF you blow dry your hair and then wash it after a while .....?

Thinning hair is determined by your genes. But you should use heat protecting styling aids to protect your hair from the damaging heat of the blow dryer. Your hair can get damaged if you comb thru wet hair with fine tooth comb then blow dry at high heat with no heat protecting styling aids. You should shampoo and conditon with a professional product. Store products are high ph and damaging to hair.

What happens if you blow dry your hair with hair wax on it??

what happens if you blow dry your hair with hair wax on it?? is that bad for your hair and mess it up%26gt;%26gt;?

What happens if you blow dry your hair with hair wax on it??

not bad for your hair, but the wax sets and it is hard to blow dry

What happens if you blow dry your hair with hair wax on it??

IT WILL BLOW UR HEAD UP!!!

What happens if you blow dry your hair with hair wax on it??

You do not do that, you personally will burn and your hair Will be a mess

What happens if you blow dry your hair with hair wax on it??

it depends, is it melty wax or hard wax. If its hard wax then nothing will happen, but if its melty wax then the hot air of the blow dryer will probably melt it on to your hair.

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

I have dry damaged hair, what would hep to improve the condition and leave my hair soft and shiny?

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle - Its only 鎷?.79 from bodycare and it works great

another great one is Beverley Cobella protein treatment, costs a bit more, but contains proteins which make hair stronger. You can get this from boots.

hope this helps!

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

try the aveda damage remedy range its lovely!makes my seriously over processed, dry hair beautifully soft and shiny!x

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

try bio silk leave in treatment. works great it takes only a small amount. also try a solan deep conditioning about once every two weeks and a trim once a month.

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

Kiehls make some excellent products for dry hair. Their olive fruit and lemon range is particularly good. They are a bit expensive but a good investment. However if you go to a Kiehls stockist (Harvey Nichols, Space NK for example) you can often get some good sized samples which give you a chance to check them out before buying.

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

hello!

i actually have been having the same problem

i am constantly dying my hair, which results in severe damage and dryness of my hair.

however, there is hope!! :]]

i just recently purchased some dove conditioner and shampoo that is specifically intended for hair like ours!!

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

Tresemme Vitamin E shampoo for dry, rich or damaged hair.

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

Loreal,Elvive,tresseme...

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

Same problem and tried and tested all to huge expense but best I have found it frizz ease by john Frieda collection the conditioner is fantastic leaves your hair soft and shiney cost around 鎷?. There is a huge range from surums, conditioners, deep heat conditioners, shampoo's good luck I use them all the time.

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

use dove therapy products i use them and it totally works even though its kinda alot of money but it worth it (it like $6 a bottle) well at least it alot for shampoo and conditioner

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

ok I use Tresemme moisture rich for dry/damage hair and then there sunsilk pink gor dery.damage hair and then i want to get redkens smooth down shmapoo and all soft conditioner

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

Hi I have used loads of these and some work better than others.

First of all I would start with a good shampoo and conditoner, Pantene Ice Shine in both is the best, and gets hair into shape fast, its for dry tired and damage hair and works a treat the more you use it the better conditon your hair will become.

Now back onto treatments and weekly conditioners.

The best one I have tried is Tresemme deep nourishing hair mask for extra dry damaged weak and brittle hair, its in a large pot and helps protect from all elements and and even heat damage, you leave it on for 5mins. Its ok but I wouldnt recommend it if you have a senisive scalp like I have as it irritates it a bit, but you dont nesscary have to use it on the scalp as it then ends that are the main problem and the lengths of the hair.

Aussie 3min Miracle isnt that good, I find that the Aussie Miracle moist you get to complement the shampoo is ten times better.

There is also Frizz Ease Miracoulous Recovery Hair Mask, this is good, for split ends doesnt do much for the lengths though and cost loads for just a little pot that doesnt last more than 2 washes, thats if you hair is thick like mine.

So all in all Tremme is the best for around 鎷? and it last ages as the tub is massive.

You can try hot oils, but I think all these do it make my hair far to fluffy and it doesnt even feel soft after the treatement.

I would also recommend using a leave in conditioner and a heat protection spray and a hair serum, the best leave in condtioner is from Boots its a coconut and Alomond one 鎷?.49, any heat protection spray off your chioce, at the moment Im using, pantene ice shine heat protecting spray but any of you choice really, except tresemme this time its not that good, Avons heat protection spray is good but if its not on offer its expesive and is in a little bottle so it doesnt last long. and for hair serum I use the same Avon Dry ends serum its 鎷?.50 but there is a better one for only 鎷?.99 in savers or bodycare, called supersoft by swartzscoff, its brilliant, but ruub it into you hands first before applying to your hair and use a little bit at a time with any hair serum you get as if you just plonk it on it looks greasy and you dont want that,

After you have applied all the above run over your hair with the hair straightners and then you should have lovely shiny smooth locks.

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

kerastase bain 3is very good and the masks are great too.

redken all soft are supposed to be very good also but ive never tried them

Shampoo, treatments, conditioners for dry hair?

Women with kinky hair do you blow dry your hair before you ceramic iron it?

I have kinky african-american I want to know if it's safe to use a ceramic iron on wet hair or do you have to blow dry your hair first. Thanks.

Women with kinky hair do you blow dry your hair before you ceramic iron it?

Blow dry your hair first to get all the moisture out. You'll actually do more damage to your hair if you use a ceramic iron on wet hair.

Women with kinky hair do you blow dry your hair before you ceramic iron it?

You should always blow dry your hair first or set it with setting lotion under the dryer, before you put heat to make sure you have some type of oil sheen/oil to spray on your hair so you don't damage your dry hair any futher. You might want to also consider braids or twists and keep the heat away from your hair.

Can anyone help me find a good treatment for my dry hair?

I have thick, frizzy and dry hair because of genetics (I had it straight when I was younger though). I never go to the pool, I only wash my hair about once or twice a week, I never blow dry it or straighten it because I'm scared the heat will make it even worse and I have "virgin" hair (which means I've never dyed it or put any chemicals in it) so there really is no reason for my hair to be so dry except that I live in Miami and the humidity is awful. I use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for dry hair and then Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner which kind of tames it but doesn't help much. Last night I tried a hot oil treatment with no results whatsoever. I've also tried mayo and egg which both work a little but not much. Does anyone know of any other treatments?

Can anyone help me find a good treatment for my dry hair?

cooooooolness c ya Lani C.

Can anyone help me find a good treatment for my dry hair?

Okay. By 'mayo', I'm guessing you've tried the thing where you slather your hair with mayonnaise, wrap it in Saran Wrap, and wrap a hot towel over that for an hour.

Try leaving your regular mousturizing conditioner (I like Finesse) in your hair for at least five minutes- I wash my body while leaving the conditioner in. Or stop the shower and read a book or magazine, relax in the bath, whatever you want. It's not a definite amount of time, but it works for me.

Also- don't shampoo (or shampoo with a diluted mix of shampoo and water) the ends of your hair. It's the deadest part, and shampoo's chemicals will kill it deader. Concentrate your consitioner there, instead.

Don't pile all your hair on top of your head when you wash and condition, either. Brush it before you get in the shower, so you don't get sailor's knots and any grit or dust is loosened. DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR AFTER YOUR SHOWER. IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST, BUY A WIDE-TOOTHED COMB.

Perhaps the sun is damaging your hair? Maybe wearing a hat or putting in something with an SPF would help?

No treatments, just some tips. *laughs* Hope this helps!

Can anyone help me find a good treatment for my dry hair?

Go to a Beauty Salon (smartstyle inside wal-mart) and ask for the product called Moisturizer by Joico use that for awhile and see if that helps it should it's very good.

Can anyone help me find a good treatment for my dry hair?

that person who sugested biosilk is right... in addition to that is --%26gt; StrengthOfNature hair spray. that stuff is magic in a can. it's got a picture of a girl with long black hair on the front. an find out by a pro. just keep askin an tryin things. you'll find what works. best of luck :)

Can anyone help me find a good treatment for my dry hair?

Try this: Biosilk Silk Therapy, its an oil for your hair. You only put a dime-sized amount in your palm and rub, then grab sections of your hair and run your hands through it. It keeps your hair silky and shiny if you want your straight hair to look good and frizz-free.

You can also try and do this: Since you wash your hair once or twice a week, that's actually healthy for your hair, brush it before you wash your hair, so that the natural oils from your scalp will moisturize the rest of your hair..when it's time to go to bed and your in the shower, and your conditioning..leave it in..put a bandanna on your head, so it covers all your hair, and holds it in. Leave it in, even when you go to bed..when you wake up wash it out, and straighten..then put the Biosilk Silk Therapy in..

Repair my dry hair?

i got a perm a while ago and then when it came out, my hair was all dry and damaged. it used to be shiny and soft, now its the opposite. what can i do? not many conditioners are helpful for me

Repair my dry hair?

u should try the Garnier Fructis Fortifying Cream Conditioner Sleek %26amp; Shine. I used 2 curl my hair almost every day and this conditioner helped my hair get it's shine back.

Here is a mixture 2 make your hair shiny again.(I used this 2)

1. Boil 2 cups water with the peel of 1 orange (finely chopped)

2. Remove from heat and let it cool for 30 minutes

3.Blend the liquid in a blender (on low for 1 minute)

4. Add 1 tsp. olive oil and 1 tbsp. apple-cider vinegar

5. Then add 1/2 ripe avocado (peeled %26amp; mashed)

6. Blend for 2 minutes or until totally smooth

7. Apply to damp hair; Leave on for about 20 minutes

8. Then rinse, shampoo, and conditioner

Repair my dry hair?

I've never had a perm, but I went through a phase where I had really dry hair. I used Redken All Soft products and they helped alot!

Repair my dry hair?

Well sounds like you didn't know that chemicals will change the texture of your hair. They do and products are the best bet to fix it.

Try www.redkenonline.com or www.renefurtereronline.com

Look under dry hair

Repair my dry hair?

use conditioner scrub for 90 seconds for 7 days

Repair my dry hair?

Open the door to your clothes dryer. Jam a nickel in the slot so that it will run with the door open. Put it on HIGH and shove your head into the rotating drum. At this point the static might start building up to dangerously high levels so you might want to ground yourself by wrapping aluminum foil on various appendages. If you still feel a bit sparky, you can use automotive jumper cables and ground your ears to the washer. If you have cats, they can help by piling them into the dryer. Their claws will straighten your hair and their fur will absorb more of the static cling. Dry for 17 hours for a shimmery shine!

Repair my dry hair?

Do a hot oil treatment and buy salon conditioners.

Repair my dry hair?

Any chemical will dry your hair out, that is what they are designed to do. To strip your hair and replace it the way they want the product to work. What we need to do is put the MOISTURE back in our hair with moisturizing conditioners and a hair oil, not a hair moisturizer, but a hair OIL. Porosity control works really well for dry damaged hair.

Repair my dry hair?

It depends if you rise all the perm out of the hair too that will casue the hair to bee dull and lack of shine too and damaged too. and some time if useing the same product can be a dange to your hair too. But all I have learn do less stressto hair and just do a condtioner treatment too at less 2 a week or when you do shammpo, and do a hot oil treatment too before you do the next perm. Try using if can carrot oil or coco oil if cant find do the old hair treatment back in the days small mixture of veggie oil or olive oil and leave on under cap and rise out with a simple shampoo

Repair my dry hair?

alls u can do is grow it out and cut it off, if your rich get a clay pack treatment, if your poor go to sally hansens and get queen helene chlorestoral tx and put it in your hair, buy them clear plastic head shower covers, like 20 for $1, put over head ,wrap a damp warm towel towel out of microwave and then wrap a dry towel over that one. When it gets cold rewarm wet towel to repeat process or just shampoo it out

Repair my dry hair?

Oh, that happens to me quick often. Some deep conditioner once a week help, let the masks sit for a couple hours before washing off. Here are some of the better masks with info and reviews: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?optio...

What is the best way to fix Dry Hair Problem?

Easy ways to get out of the worst hair jams imaginable!

One day your hair looks great, then you decide to try something new. Perhaps it's a perm or color, maybe it's just a new way of setting your locks. Next thing you know, you're having a major bad hair day, or even a bad hair month.

But hair disasters, no matter how traumatic, aren't necessarily something you have to live with. When something goes wrong, there's always a fix, though granted it's not always a quick and easy one. The worst disaster of all, of course, is the terrible cut that you think has to be grown out.

Whatever the situation, pros agree than anyone can improve her hair, if she gets control over several factors. One special aside here, if excessive hair loss is your problem, you'll have to explore with a dermatologist, hormonal changes, diet and medications, which can trigger hair loss.

Studies show that women who think their hair looks good feel more confident and in fact, succeed more because they behave with confidence. With this in mind, here are the best ways to fix the most common and vexing hair problems that we all experience at one time or another.

The Botched Perm There are two times when a home perm messes up locks. The first is when it doesn't take at all. Usually, this is from incorrect processing. Wait a few days, then go to a professional and get a hair analysis before getting a re-perm. Rod size, size of partings and the product used all play a part in getting the perfect perm.

If your perm took too well, leaving you with super curl or a head full of frizz, immediately deep condition hair with a thick cream conditioner. Comb from roots to ends, wait 5 minutes and rinse. Then set your hair on large rollers and let it dry naturally. If this doesn't work, go to a salon that offers the reverse perm. In this technique, permanent waving solution is combed through the hair from roots to ends to straighten it. If you try it at home, wait at least two weeks after the perm and enlist the help of a friend. Hold your head so your hair hangs straight down into the sink. (A curved bathroom sink is ideal.) If possible, you should be facing up. If you face down, be certain to protect your eyes. Repeatedly comb the perm solution through your hair, using a large-toothed comb, until hair relaxes. Then neutralize and rinse completely.

Haircolor Horrors Choosing and using haircolor can be tricky. The color on the box does not tell you what result you will get over your natural shade and there's lots that can go wrong if you're bleaching your hair. If you over-bleached, don't do a thing without professional help or you risk severe breakage. If the color is simply wrong, there are color-removing products available from your local beauty supply store. They contain bleach and are the only way to remove permanent or semi-permanent color (Do NOT use them on relaxed hair.)

You can also saturate hair with mineral oil if henna is the problem. First saturate a cotton ball with 70 percent alcohol, apply it to the hair, along the shaft (avoid the scalp) and wait 5 minutes. Then apply mineral oil liberally and saturate each strand again. Cover your head with a plastic cap and apply heat for 30 minutes. (Use a blow dryer or a cap that attaches to your dryer's nozzle.) Then shampoo with a shampoo for oily hair two or three times and rinse.

Undesirable shades, like green, are best left to a pro, who knows how to either remove them or neutralize them with the color opposite on the color wheel. However, if the green is from chlorine, there are now chlorine removing shampoos on the shelf that work just fine.

The Haircut That Scalps You If you have a true disaster on your hands, don't reject a wig off-hand. Many companies have beautiful synthetic and human hair wigs that can perfectly match your previous cut and color. If you have some hair left, consider softening the effect you hate with layers, wispy sideburns or long bangs.

Choose a hair stylist carefully and get ideas before you go ahead, because if you're scalped twice, a wig may be your only hope. Or, you may have enough hair left for hair extensions or additions. You'd be surprised at new salon weaving techniques, which are used for women who have sparse and thinning hair.

Finally, there is a way to avoid the too-short cut. Show your stylist exactly where you want your hair to fall and watch in the mirror. If you see him or her cutting it shorter or feel the scissors are positioned high in back, stop the process immediately and insist on what you want. Never be afraid to walk out if you aren't getting it.

Uneven Layering Layering that's uneven or not what you wanted leaves you with a few options. You can wait for short layers to grow out. You can also have longer layers cut to match shorter ones. A shorter cut might also fix the problem, but if you aren't willing to get one, ask another stylist to show you setting and styling techniques that work with what you have until it grows out.

Too Obvious Highlights If your hair ends up looking more like a skunk's tail than sun-kissed locks, have a color wash or toner put over highlights. At Salon Red in Atlanta, Carla Attenborough specializes in fixing overly blonde highlights that she says come from repeatedly highlighting without using a toner. Choose a shade that's close to your own and highlights will be less obvious. You can also see if the highlights can be softened by "re-shaping" them. Have a colorist change chunks into smaller pieces by turning half the chunk into lowlights.

Blow Drying Damage If thermal styling is killing your locks, switch to thermal protective products that coat and protect your cuticle. Also, towel dry hair completely before reaching for your blow dryer. Damp hair holds a style just fine, according to Jesse Briggs, of Yellow Strawberry salon in Ft. Lauderdale. He recommends removing moisture first, then switching to a cool setting to lock in shape and curl. Also, get regular trims to get rid of split ends and dry hair from the inside out; don't start with the surface and risk leaving hair underneath half damp. Brigg's other tips for combating dry, damaged hair are easy to do at home. For a little kitchen magic, mix 1 cup of olive oil, a whole egg and 1/3 cup of honey. Pour through your hair, comb through and wait for at least 3 hours before rinsing completely. (This does take a lot of rinsing.) A vinegar rinse restores shine if you don't wash it out; the smell is only momentary and will go away soon.

In the future, hold your dryer at least six inches from your head and move it continuously when drying. Keep curling and straightening irons from getting too hot for hair by spritzing them with water in intervals as you style your hair.

The Terrible Style, with No Time Out You've spent the last hour trying out a new styling technique, only to end up with a disaster 10 minutes before your date arrives. To get out of the jam, try these quick solutions: Tip your head upside down, mist with a finishing spray and brush repeatedly from roots to ends. This removes too much curl but adds body. Then flip your head up, finger style and slip on a wide headband. Lucky for you, headband looks are back!

If hair is limp and lifeless after a set, you brushed out all the curl you created. Usually this happens if you don't let the rollers cool completely before removing them. Take a single, giant hot roller and use it to turn all your ends under. If your hair is super thick, it may take two rollers. Blow dry the hot roller with air flow on a cool setting to speed the process, carefully unwind and wrap ends around your fingers. You'll have a smooth style with ends that turn under. A fast fix for short hair gone astray? Gel it straight back. If you have the time and the goods, clip on a faux piece for an instant ponytail or chignon.
