My 4 yr. old daughter has extremely dry (not damaged) curly hair. I use plenty conditioner and put on a hair moisturizer but it only lasts a couple hours max, and then its frizzy and dry again. Her bangs don't grow long enough the hair seems to break. Her hair even repels water a bit!

apply johnson's baby hair oil to her hair keep it for an hour or so then shampoo it off. do it twice a week. and use conditioner on her hair every time she shampoos.

pantene pro-v shampoo and conditioner is great i don't know if it will work for a 4 year old though. they have lots of kinds. for fuller hair, for shiny hair, for smoother hair, etc. hope this helps. o x

There's this new Herbal Essence shampoo in a funky blue bottle called "Hydrating Shampoo" and Conditioner, I advise that you keep in the conditioner for 5 minutes then gently rinse, and try to look into other moisturizing shampoos and conditioners out their. oh, that's painful, poor kid! I have a friend in her 40s who has the same problem, and has since a child. She keeps her hair cut fairly short and uses BioSilk which is very oily. Also, she doesn't try to comb it much, that seems to make it more crispy! Just pick it out a little and revel in the curls, which isn't easy for a child, I know. (My friend is Italian, she says all her mother's side of the family had that hair.)

Try sunsilk it is color coordinated and there is a type made for dry, kinky hair. You can get it at walmart or walgreens. Trust me I have " hair that gets poofy as it dries" and I got sunsilk, it is THE BEST EVER(after pantene pro-v).

use a mild kiddie shamppoo on her.. dont use too many chemicals on her baby hair!! OIL her hair often! use olive oil , coconut oil or mustard oil.. leave it on overnight and wash it off with shampoo in the mornin! it works better than any moistureizer!
