Dry frizzy hair?

my hair is now really frizzy and it never used o be this way. Is their something that you find works really well (even a household item ex. honey, mayonaise...)?

Dry frizzy hair?

First let me ask this...have you changed your diet lately? Are you eating not so great (fast) foods? I did some research a few months ago about how to have healthy hair...as mine was looking dull and dry/frizzy. I can't recall the exact name of the site, but it said you can try all kinds of conditioners and straighteners, and they may help temporarily...but the best thing is to change your diet! Some of best things to eat for nice healthy hair is higher protein foods, like baked fish, peanuts, peanut butter %26amp; sunflower seeds ... I asked my beautician and she agreed, but we did cut my hair first to

take the dry stuff off, and when I added those items to my diet, within about 3 weeks even the rest of my hair got its shine back, and my new hair grew in really nice :)

Dry frizzy hair?

My hair became like that this year too. I use a little mousse and then scrunch my hair so when it dries, the frizz is less. I've heard that a mixture of honey and milk before you shower creates a smoother, sleaker effect.

Dry frizzy hair?

I don't wash mine every day. It was hard to get used to at first because it felt grimy so I will wet it or condition only on days I don't wash it. I usually wash and condition it 3-4 days a week.

Dry frizzy hair?

Aveda makes a Beautifying Compound oil that I used on my hair for the same problem and it worked great. You only need a dot in your palm, though. Too much will make your hair feel a little oily. Good luck with it.

Dry frizzy hair?

Hey,

I heard that uou could put olive oil through your hair before you wash it and that totally de-frizzes it.

Otherwise, try finding anti frizz serums or sprays with a leave in conditioner.

basically you should try and find shampoo's and conditioners especially for this problem many are labelled and made especially for these sorts of problems.

Also try and find shampoo's that are'nt clear in colour, because they take essential moisture out of your hair.

I hope that helped a wee bit.

Dry frizzy hair?

two words: flat iron.

Dry frizzy hair?

I've used a leave-in conditioner (Infusium) for years now and it's made my hair less frizzy and definitely less dry. Also, anti-frizz serums or shine sprays after hair is dry seem to help as well. You could also try a deep conditioner once or twice a week.

Dry frizzy hair?

i have tried mayo and milk on my hair before don't know what it is suppose to do. dry scalp home remedy #1 sea breeze #2 olive oil. store remedy #1 hot oil treatment #2 deep condition sit under hood dryer for 20 mins. frizzy hair, i know a product that can help the frizz that's if you blow dry your hair its called hair polisher straightener by fantasia in a pink bottle. smell good too.

Which thyroid disorder exhibits dry hair as a symptom?

hypo or hyper? or do both disorders cause your hair to become dry?

i just got my thyroid removed due to cancer, and i cant take my hormone substitute until after the iodine radiation. the reason being they want my to become hypothyroid so i can absorb the iodine the best. does that mean my hair will become dry soon, until i can get back on the hormone medication?

Which thyroid disorder exhibits dry hair as a symptom?

Hypothyroid causes dry thinning hair. Once at the right thyrid levels, this symptom usually will correct itself.

Once you do start on meds for hypothyroidism, make sure to test only first thing in the morning. You will want TSH suppressed because of the recent thyroid cancer. so that the cancer cells will not come back. Great tests to go by are the free t4 and free t3

Which thyroid disorder exhibits dry hair as a symptom?

hyper

Which thyroid disorder exhibits dry hair as a symptom?

Hypothyroid is an underactive thyroid I have this and both can make your hair dry out try leavein conditioners and hair treatments sorry to hear about your health

Blow Dry hair better than using straighting iron?

i decided to blow dry my hair straight which is super curly. And it was softer, shiner, and straighter than using my strraightner? How 'bout that?

Blow Dry hair better than using straighting iron?

i do that too, but i find the iron makes it hold better, and gets the ends super straight, but a blowdryer works just as well if you use instant starightening cream (a heat protector) and a round brush

Blow Dry hair better than using straighting iron?

uhm.. good for you! lol.

yes a blow dryer is better than a straightener. its not as hot %26amp;%26amp; directly on your hair...

Blow Dry hair better than using straighting iron?

Blow dryer= dryer machine

Straightener=steaming iron

What do you think it's better? Try air drying... And, save energy.... You could use anti-frizz products... I'll guarantee you the shiney hair..

Does apple cider vinegar dry out your hair?

i use it 1-2 times a week as a rinse to clean the residue, it makes my hair feels bouncy (which is great) and helps to reduce itchiness in my scalp

p/s: i have a color treated, very dry and damaged hair due to overprocessing. i'd like to know whether vinegar rinse will have bad effect on my already dry hair

Does apple cider vinegar dry out your hair?

My grandmother taught us to use vinegar from childhood. I have continued the tradition. I just wanted to let you know that Distilled White Vinegar works as well. Mix it with a little water then pour over hair and massage. Same as your treatment. Works nicely and I have noticed no hair loss. However it does fade color a little bit but not much. Hope this helps some of your other readers. The white vinegar helped immediately, and the next time I went to the store I purchased some apple cider vinegar. I've used it about eight times (I use 1 cup of a.c. vinegar, work it into my whole scalp, then wrap my head in a towel for 20+ minutes), and what a wonder! And, at a fraction of the price of all those expensive shampoos and dermatologist visits. Thanks so much for your help. Thanks Wally. After months of flaky and itchy scalp, the vinegar worked like a charm! Have now rinsed my hair with a cup full of 1/2 vinegar and 1/2 warm water each day for the last 3 days, and my scalp feels really clean, and no flakes!

I put some apple cider vinegar in a small spray bottle and sprayed it liberally through my hair, making sure my entire scalp was covered. Then I simply massaged it in thoroughly and waited about 20-30 minutes. I showered and shampoo before going to bed as I normally would, taking extra care to rinse well. The next morning I was amazed! My scalp looked very clean with very few dry flakes. I tried the same procedure again the second day and found it looked even better the next day. By the third treatment, I found ZERO dandruff and haven閳ユ獩 had any since! It閳ユ獨 been two weeks since the first treatment and I can閳ユ獩 remember ever being dandruff free for this long! I plan to repeat the treatment at the first sign of itching or flaking and will probably make it a regular habit for life. My method so far has just been to massage the vinegar in (undiluted), leave it for an hour or so under a towel, and shampoo out. There is a slight smell of vinegar at first, but this seems to decrease during the day - and compared the unbelievable stink of the Chinese herbal remedy I tried once, it is nothing! My dandruff is completely gone! The way that worked for me is this: 1). One week of vinegar soaked scalped every night of the week 閳?left on overnight. 2). Twice a week vinegar in the shaver after shampoo 閳?to keep flakes away after the first week. So I tried your idea. I rinsed one cup of 1/2 cider vinegar 1/2 water through my hair and wrapped my head in a towel for an hour. The bathroom stank! I then shampooed and went to bed feeling like the joke was on me. Next morning my hair hardly smelled as it was dry, but NO DANDRUFF. One treatment and 95% gone! It defies logic! Further quick rinses have reduced it further. Since my initial use I have also discovered that a short rinse is all that is now required, and that if I heavily condition afterwards (with a nice smelling variety) the vinegar smell does not seem to persist. It's best done at night as by morning the bathroom doesn't smell at all (so others don't suffer for my gain). I applied the apple cider vinegar from a spray bottle and left in on my hair for a good half hour, then washed it in my regular shampoo and conditioned it. One week later I still can't believe that no pesky flakes have appeared. Now at the sight of a flake or if my scalp gets itchy, especially after a sweaty work out I go ahead and do a vinegar treatment. I have long curly hair. 1/2 cup of ACV poured onto my scalp and rinsed off after 15 minutes followed by a gentle shampoo and heavy conditioning works for me. Thanks! How t o combat smell? (as it seems to bother some people) I've been using apple cider vinegar (with a lot of success) for a few years to control dandruff and flaking on my skin. I combat the smell by diluting it with distilled water, adding a few drops of tea tree %26amp; rosemary oil (which also helps control flaking). Having a lower sugar diet and talking a multivit with enough vit b, keeps me flake free always. Explanations which I have received from the readers of my WebPages on why this treatment works: Yes it works. Your treatment is the best treatment known and I'll tell you why. As you notes gathered point out the oily conditions create a yeast rich environment on the scalp. Bacteria that like survive off the skin shedding process thrive on yeast. This leads to the intense skin shedding. This is also why it is not limited to the scalp and appears on eyebrows and around the nose and even chest hair. Its not on my nose but anywhere there is hair and heat. Chest eyebrows head ankles. I had to use the juice of lemons and lime. I'm allergic to vinegar. The acid (ascorbic or ethanoic) stops the production of too much bacteria and knocks the skin shedding back into balance. The hilarious thing is pharmaceutical companies don't sell this . . . because It would cure 90% of people overnight!!!! no money there.

The vinegar worked. I think it's because it changes the pH and the fungus that causes my dandruff is pH sensitive. All fungi live within a fairly narrow range of acidity and vinegar is far on the acid scale. I'm fairly certain it's fine for your skin. Skin is pretty tough and it can take a surprising amount. Still I think I'm going to experiment with half strength, i.e. half water half vinegar. Oddly I get this condition on my chest also and the vinegar cures that also. I've been rather sensitive to fungus my entire life and I'm prone to yeast infections. Lactus Acidophilous works for that and I think it's just because the Acidophilous slightly changes my bodies pH. The fungus is contagious. My wife never had dandruff and she only developed it after we were married about 6 years. My brother also has it. Not everyone that gets exposed will become colonized. Some people have stronger immune systems or maybe their body chemistry is different enough that the fungi don't find it as pleasing. Once I found the scientific name of the fungi on the web, there are five different but closely related types. They're distantly related to yeast. I'm sure some people get dandruff from other causes, but the majority of the cases of massive dandruff that I've seen have been caused by this fungus. I'm surprised that doctors don't mention or know about the vinegar cure. Makes me wonder about the legitimacy of medical science in general. The straightforwardness of skin flakes, fungus, change pH is basic and supported by theory, anecdotal evidence, and testimony. The idea that fungi are responsive to pH is taught in grade school science projects. That medical science would ignore this causes me some considerable concern.

I've been looking on the Internet for a way to help control the over production of oil on my face. I read that the cause of excess facial oil is the same cause as excess scalp oil which is what dandruff often stems from (many people think dandruff is from dry scalp). Anyway, in addition to a very oily face, I suffered from a very itchy, flaky scalp. So, after coming to your site, I thought I'd try ACV on both my face and my scalp. It's a miracle treatment! My face (t-Zone) is no longer oily or shiny -- it used to be so greasy! Plus, my scalp doesn't itch or flake. I've tried lots of products that were expensive and didn't work.

Does apple cider vinegar dry out your hair?

yes it does.

anything acidic will dry out the hair.

it sounds like you need a good clarifying shampoo to get rid of build up instead

Does apple cider vinegar dry out your hair?

yes

Does apple cider vinegar dry out your hair?

Well if you have been using it in your hair for some time now you should know the effects that it has on your hair by now.

Does apple cider vinegar dry out your hair?

If you mix it with water, and only use it twice a week or less, it should not bother it. It is actually milder than a clarifying shampoo. Another way to get the residue out is using a paste of baking soda. Just mix baking soda with water till it is a runny paste and apply to the hair while you are in the shower. Shampoo and rinse after about 5-10 minutes.

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

I use Suave anti-frizz hair gel. It's not meant specifically for straightening, its just hair gel. Should I spend a little extra money and get a straightening balm? I have medium thickness, wavy hair. What types of straightening balms have worked for you??

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

You should definitely spend the extra money on the balm. I myself use Garnier's Smoothing Milk first then when I'm done I use a hair polish shine mist by Doo Gro. That works really good on me but I had to try a few other products until I found what works on me. So I would advice you to spend a lot of money on a few products to see what works for you. Since I haven't tried gel I would imagine that your hair isn't exactly the softest. And if it's not soft it can't really be too sexy(guys love soft hair to run their fingers thru). So when you find it stick wit it.

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

You should use both. One is to help the hair get straight (the balm), the other is to keep it that way (the gel).

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

yes...frizz eaze is great...

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

some great hair tips in this article that will help you better

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

well i naturally have strait hair, but my friend has like CURLY hair and she uses the straightning balms and she likes it a lot!!!

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

I use straitening cream while my hair is wet, then after I flat iron I use Paul Mitchell Gloss drops for extra shine

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

go get therma silk straightening creme, and put it on your dry hair....then using clips, pin the majority of your hair up and straighten a small section at a time... my hair is very thick, wavy, and this is what I do and it takes me about 15 minutes to have perfectly flat shiny soft straight hair.

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

Yeah, straightening balm would work much better. It keeps your hair soft. Gel just dries it out. I'm not sure what color your hair is, but Brilliant Brunette puts out a good straightening balm (I'm sure they have it for the other colors too though) and it's only about $6. You can find it in any drugstore or Target.

Or, if you have money to spend, I suggest you visit a salon or Trade Secret and pick up some Bed Head products. They're all I use now. They smell great and never seem to build up, and they do what the bottle actually says they do. One of the best products is After Party. It's a smoothing cream that leaves your hair super soft, but not greasy at all. You can visit www.tigihaircare.com to see all their products. They're pricey, but definitely worth it. Also, don't ever purchase professional hair products in a grocery store or drug store. They're way overpriced and most of the time aren't authentic. Always go to a salon to purchase them.

Hope this helps.

When I blow dry my hair straight, I use regular hair gel, should I use straightening balms instead?

i have naturally straight hair but i would consider spending that much more for your hair. after all, it deserves it!

Question about dry-looking hair?

You may have to use some imagination and imagery for this, but my hair doesn't look unhealthy, it's just, it's shiny, but not glossy, and the ends kind of get smaller and smaller, very gradually. Like, if I put half my hair on either side of my head, you can see that my hair looks kind of like a funnel.

What can I do about that?

Question about dry-looking hair?

trim your hair. get rid of the split ends. oil your hair once a week. it'll help keep your hair healthy. also, its important to eat a healthy, balanced diet.

Question about dry-looking hair?

A great haircut will be the fix for your problem. You described a lot of split ends and a cut that doesn't grow out well. Find a stylist that will personalize a cut for you and get rid of the unhealthy damaged hair that's bothering you.

Question about dry-looking hair?

As for the shine,it may be because your hair is a little oily, make sure you wash and condition your hair everyday or two and spray in a leave in conditioner, dont use a cream or syrum as this can make hair more oily.

For the hair it may be your haircut but in anycase use a volume spray to give it some thickness, and blow dry it with a round brush

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

I know lot of girls blowdry/iron their hair on daily basis. I would love to do that too, but i am afraid if will damage my hair! or is it a myth? If not, how can i use a hair iron but keep my hair healty at the same time?

thank you in advance!

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

use a heat protective spray from is actually cheep the price i meen not the product

if u dont want to use that then buy a ceramic flat iron

hope this helps u

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

I think you will ok as long as you keep the hot air moving all over your hair. I think damage occurs when the heat is in one spot for too long.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

I dont blowdry my hair at all. It makes it frizz.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

use some heat protection product

check out TiGi

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

It does damage your hair but there is an upside. You can buy shampoo that repairs your hair, made especially for people who iron or dry their hair.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

It i s not a myth..you can damage your hair. I dont do it...I actually have a flat iron that drys at the same time....works well. But I dont do it everytime after shampooing...I give my hari a break too.And make sure that when you do blow dry or flat iron....put somwething in your hair..product...like starightening balm if you straighten.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

Personally I don't bother because if I have nothing planned then I can let it dry naturally. Poker straight hair is a bit too much anyway. To use one safely then use a protective spray or product 2.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

I used to blowdry my hair everyday, and my hair was really dry. I haven't done it in a very long time, and my hair is very healthy now, so I no longer use a blowdryer. I very rarely use a hair iron. Only if I'm going somewhere special, as a hair iron will dry out your hair as well. Anything in moderation is the key. Not everyday.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

i shampoo and dry everyday! There are products out there that you can put on your hair to protect it from the iron, ask your local salon or look in the grocery store, I also use a straightner everyday, just make sure you trim your hair once to every two months, only about an inch and you will have no worries.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

It' not a myth!!! I don't dry my hair everyday. I have very thick hair and it takes a half hour to dry and straiten. I dry it maybe two times a week. I use a product called Glass by Redken. It makes my hair smooth and shinny...not frizzy. It's the only product I have found that works great on my hair. If you blow dry your hair everyday you will damage and dry out your hair. Your hair has natural oils in it that keep your hair healthy. My advice to you is to blow dry it every other day or every third day. Good luck to ya. gigi

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

i use a straightening iron regularly, but not on a daily basis.

It does damage your hair if you do not protect it. If you use serums or other hair oils to protect from heat or uv rays this will help.

I found one Iron that does not damage your hair as much, since you apply the heat very little. Its the CHI IRON its powerful so you dont have to keep going over the same area to get the best results.

I have curlye hari and i love to wear it straight, so sometimes what I do is, wash may hair, lets say on Monday night, straighten it on tuesday morning and wear it straight till about thursday (as long as I had not been out side for long periods of time that would make my hair smell). and then wear it curlye again.

we have the option and that is sooo cool!

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

when blow drying...get it mostly dry before you start to style it. towel dry to get as much moister out as u can like this, then let it air dry most of the way (without combing or brushing much is best), or use the dryer at a lower heat setting till mostly dry...then, you style with brush. after dry touch up with the hot iron.

you can also dry your hair with the dryer at a lower setting then use hair iron!

be sure to use a conditioner when you shampoo, if your hair is dry try a "leave in conditioner."

take care!!!

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

I used to blowdry my hair everyday because I have thin hair....it used to give it more body. I stopped blowdrying because it damaged my hair ALOT. Since then, I have been using a different type of shampoo (Sunsilk) and towel-drying my hair and letting the rest dry on its own. My hair has never looked healthier.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

no, i don't think it's very good for you. i personally don't.

i just use a good conditioner and shampoo :P

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

Unfortuantely, when I still had school..I would iron it everyday..and since its summer..I just wash it..and not really do anything to do it..so it can get healthy again..b/c it did damage my hair!!* Good Luck with yours %26lt;3

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

The only time I blow dry it is when I want to wear it straight. Other than that, I let it air dry.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

I don't because even using a low temp dries out your hair and stresses it. I just shampoo, use a light conditioner, lightly towel-dry and sometimes go outside because the sun makes it feel soft.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

if you apply heat to your hair everytime you touch it yes your hair will be damaged because your hair cant take all that heat everyday

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

Well I wash my hair every other day because it is real drying on hair to wash it every day and after I was I always put a product in my hair called silk therapy you get at beauty salons then I blow dry my hair the silk protects it from heat I do not use a flat iron because I have real long straight hair anyway so the blow dryer works for me but no it will not damage your hair.

Do you blow dry your hair everytime you shampoo?

you are soooooo on the right path with your thinking...:) i used to blow dry my hair daily and it really dried out my hair to. no conditioner could stop it from later on becomming frizzy. i have stopped about 6 months ago, trimmed the ends, condition it when needed and my hair looks very young and healthy. ironing your hair too can create a later damaging effect. i tried for about a year. sure, it looked great, but i noticed that i was conditioning much more too...and later, i had the frizz troubles from it. just stay the way you are....i am sure that you look great, and who knows, maybe you'll start that "Natural" look trend and pass it on.

the damages we do now will creep on us eventually. hope i have helped

Is there any cure for dry, damaged hair?

Are there any products that stop damaged hair from growing? I know you can't cure hair that's already damaged, but is there any shampoo/conditioner that cures the hair from the roots and stops damaged hair from growing and spreading to other hairs? My hair is damaged all over and there really isn't any point in trimming it unless the damage goes to the lower parts of my hair.

Is there any cure for dry, damaged hair?

How can you blow dry your curly hair or straighten your hair by yourself?

please i need to know how do u divide your hair into sections by yourself , is it hard to do that by yourself ( straightening process ) ????

cuz nobody is there to help with the blow drying and i have very curly hair ( i do not like chemical relaxers )

could you please help me with your tips %26gt;

How can you blow dry your curly hair or straighten your hair by yourself?

i have wavy hair and i hate it.all i do is straighten my hair with my chi.to divide it i put up all but the bottom section and straighten that.then i let some more down straighten that and keep going until I'm done.

How can you blow dry your curly hair or straighten your hair by yourself?

its not hard at all, just take pieces of your hair and start straighting it

How can you blow dry your curly hair or straighten your hair by yourself?

Ok, the way I straigten my hair (which is kinda close to curly) I put in like layers. Not as in cut it off. But as like pick up half of my hair and put it up and straigten out the bottom and then once Im done with that layer I put down just a little bit more and straighten that out then put the rest down and straighten that out then Im done. usually for school I would take a shower at 6 then do the rest of my homework then when Im done do the layers then go to sleep then wake up at 6:30 or 7 then straighten out my hair just like I told you then it stays straight for the rest of the day except when it is raining or misty. So I would straighten out two times. Hoped I helped!閳?br>How can you blow dry your curly hair or straighten your hair by yourself?

Well it is very hard... I have wavy hair, and I blow dry it my self, I flat iron it my self.

What you need is practice, I would recomend a proffesional blow drier the expensive ones. just start at the back of your scalp, take around half an inch from the beggining, and roll all your hair, and put it in a way that it won't interfere with the hair in the back, the one you will be dring, Ok, then divide that part in three, grab one of them and place it on your brush, you need a jabali's hair brush, those are the best, and start the drier, blow dry the root first, do it very good, move the drier up and down, from the part where you are holding the brush (which is supposed to be near the root, right now), and with your hand you must always be moving the brush like rolling it. and you repeat the same process until you reach the top, then, you divide the hair in the middle, and take one of the divisions and divide it into small parts, and keep doing the same thing.

I have dry, curly hair. Are there natural ways (fruits) I can get my hair to become LONGER,SLEEK, SO

I really need help because I have tried straigtening combs and various conditioners and they still don't help. I still want to keep by curls but i want them to be manageable and really soft and sleek. I would also love my hair to be like 6 inches longer. (right now it is up to my shoulders). Also, are there any REALLY good moisturizers or hair cremes that are meant for everyday use. Thanks so much.

I have dry, curly hair. Are there natural ways (fruits) I can get my hair to become LONGER,SLEEK, SOFT?

Try soaking it in beer. REALLY! then try the auzzy products u can find at wally world.

I have dry, curly hair. Are there natural ways (fruits) I can get my hair to become LONGER,SLEEK, SOFT?

Ylang ylang oil or sweet almond oil should do it!!

I have dry, curly hair. Are there natural ways (fruits) I can get my hair to become LONGER,SLEEK, SOFT?

I had the same problem... The best thing I have found is Samy Straightening shampoo and conditioner.... Its in a hott pink bottle. You can get it at Target for like 4.99... Its the best thing ive ever used.... Your curls will be smooth and if you want ur hair perfectly straight use a flat iron after you blow dry.... Hope that helps!

I have dry, curly hair. Are there natural ways (fruits) I can get my hair to become LONGER,SLEEK, SOFT?

Try Neutrogena's new moisture shampoo at wal mart or anywhere

How is cold water good for hair? also how is it wet/dry irons bad if used wet?

wouldn't it dry the water on ur hair and not dry out the oils in ur hair?

How is cold water good for hair? also how is it wet/dry irons bad if used wet?

hair has natural oil so if u use cold water u'll b sealing the oil in the hair instead of losing it as in the case of hot water. this oil makes ur hair soft and shiny naturally without using hair products.

its like washing oily dishes with hot water, the oil is lost faster than with cold water.

wet iron is very good in straightening the hair but the peoblem is sometimes it does not dry the water in the hair fully. so the hair puffs up after a while. u have to keep in the hair for very long to ensure that all the water has evaporated but this might over dry ur hair since u'll not know for sure when to stop.

How is cold water good for hair? also how is it wet/dry irons bad if used wet?

Cold water isnt neccisarily good for ur hair Just better than hot it makes it not frizz as bad!!!!Also it helps keep ur natural oils it kinda acts as a sealer, where as hot water takes away the naturel oils, and the reason u dont use a flat iron on wet hair is b/c it will fry ur hair bad in ohter words it will poof like a fuzz ball and frizz for a long time!!!

Hope this helps,

Kristen

p.s. Trust me ive done it!!

How to manage wavy, curly and dry hair?

i have dry, wavy and curly hair. i am in india. so i use either shikakai or shampoo with conditioner and then air dry my hair. also i get dandruff regularly and because of it i am also losing lot of hair. kindly suggest some remedy and also tell me wat kind of a hairstyle will suit me. i have round chubby face with shoulder length hair

How to manage wavy, curly and dry hair?

hi i've had the same problems but now i still have curly hair.. curls only at ends.. my hair is softer, smoother and glows..

here are the tips

1: first remove split ends, drink loads of water they contain minerals and so they protect ur hair from drying..

2: for dandruff use nizoral shampoo... u get them in medical shops.

3:hey don use shikakaai yaar... it dries your hair more

4:heat coconut oil and apply it in ur roots and ends(loads of oil) after 30-45 mins rinse with very mild shampoo(i use dove.. its superb)..

5:apply shampoo to ur scalp and use garnier condi for dry and frizzy hair with walnut oil at the end.. never use shampoo at the ends..

6:at night before going to bed apply badam oil to ur hair and masage nicely and sleep off, next day apply egg white to ur hair(use two eggs) and again wash with dove (mild shampoo) use condi.. this'll remove dandruff too..

7:smash ripe banana and mix with coconut or olive oil(i'd reccomend) and apply it in the hair esp on the roots.. leave for 40 mins and rinse off with shampoo and condi

8:mix castor oil, groundnut oil and coconut oil apply to ur hair and leave for few hourse and shampoo off.

9:mix curd with egg white and few drops of lime juice apply in ur hair and shampoo off after 30 mins..

10:its ok if u take head bath once in3 days... use cold water or warm water never use hot water it dries out ur scalp and lead tuo dandruff..

thats all..............

the main thing is use dove shampoo.... and good condi for dry hair...

cheers...

How to manage wavy, curly and dry hair?

use wet gel and set suitable style.

How to manage wavy, curly and dry hair?

hi! i have wavy, curly, dry and super duper thick hair. I have tried every single product out there. I have figured out, at least with MY hair, that something very simple and quite unbelievable works best for me.

1. wash your hair only once or twice a week.

2. rinse it very well and add a good conditioner such as pantene. pantene helps tame your hair better than many other conditioners.

3. rinse that conditioner out.

4. add more conditioner but this time don't rinse it out. you will have to experiment with how much is right for you.

5. without using heat, mold your hair with just a bit of styling product of your preference.

6. when your hair looks (while wet) just the way you like it, spray all over with a fair amount of rave hairspray, aerosol. make sure you have a decent layer of it all over your hair.

7. let hair dry totally

8. when dry, run your fingers thru it very gently to soften the "hairsprayed" look.

9. when it is more natural looking but still the style you want it, put a thin layer of spray back on.

10. this does it for me... hope it works for you!

also... on the days you don't wash your hair, jump in the shower and add JUST conditioner, and go thru steps 2 thru 9 again.

AND. when you can, go to sleep after you wash and drench your hair in conditioner, I sleep with mine wrapped in a towel.

PLEASE let me know how this works for my fellow curly hair friends!

for styles, if your face is chubby, hair your length stop just below or just above the chubbiest part of your face. mine looks thinner with my hair behind my ears!

dandruff does not make your hair fall out as far as i know. I would have my doctor check me for vitamin deficiencies or eating habits. it can also be from your nerves. there are some great oral non rx medications for helping hair grow. consult a licensed hair dresser.

How to manage wavy, curly and dry hair?

well if u have shoulder length how cums u cannot manage them what i suggest is use hair spray, gel to keep them in place but if your hair keeps falling out go to the doctors and trusss they will get u a tablets that u can take once a day any hairstyle is ok but i think u should keep them tied.

hope it works out, Good Luck

How to manage wavy, curly and dry hair?

Hi! I have wavy, frizzy, shoulder length hair and i keep complaining about it. i usually just put it in a pony tail and hope no one notices. i discovered sunsilk that has different shampoos for different hair types. i use the one aimed for wavy hair but there is one for straight hair. i use a lot of conditioner and sometimes use a straightener. i also use gel that makes my hair shiny and silky. also use a static free hair brush. i have never been ffond of wasting time doing my hair so the easier the better for me. i wash my hair at night and sleep with it wet (it keeps me cool in the summer too). then in the morning it's dry and i straighten it or brush it out. hope this helps!

How to manage wavy, curly and dry hair?

nizoral shampoo is quite nice for dandruff. for dry and wavy hair, coconut-oil head massage is good. can be done at night and wash well in the morning with nizoral shampoo. twice a week is recommended.

What can I do about my dry hair?

I just recently got a haircut. And when I washed it and blow dried it, it became so dry. It's still like that now, and I used condintioner for dry hair, it's not helping?

Any suggestions on what I should do? And what caused my dry hair.........

What can I do about my dry hair?

A good hot oil treatment and if you color and perm stop.

What can I do about my dry hair?

put water on it.....then it won't be dry. It will be wet.

What can I do about my dry hair?

how about hair gel! it might help.

What can I do about my dry hair?

look for a good mouse (sp?)

What can I do about my dry hair?

Gliss Kur Oil shampoo, mask and balsam- perfect!(Shwarzkopf)

What can I do about my dry hair?

put some kitchen oil in it, let it soak in for a while and then wash it.

What can I do about my dry hair?

I have dry hair as well, the best thing you can do is try hot oil treatment on your hair..or a deep conditioner and leave it on for a long time. Hope your hair get's better!

What can I do about my dry hair?

My daughter mixes a tiny bit of olive oil into her conditioner. She has beautiful, thick, straight, long auburn hair.

What can I do about my dry hair?

Get a GOOD conditioner...from a beauty supply store. Even Walmart has some now. The thick kind. Sometimes they come in a tub instead of a bottle. Put a generous amt. on your hair. Wrap your hair in a plastic bag (small) or a shower cap. Sit under a hairdryer (Or blow dry) for about 10-15 minutes. This will allow the hair to "drink" the conditioner. Rinse well with WARM water. You can also use a small amt. of leave-in conditioner afterward.

What can I do about my dry hair?

Try using leave in conditioners. Most are really light and won't weigh your hair down. As for it never happening once at a salon the stylist told me that a persons hair changes several times over your lifetime. Texture, dryness, ext... I hope this helps.

What can I do about my dry hair?

u could use the shampoo pert and the conditioner too it really works

What can I do about my dry hair?

Get hair cholestorol... or hair mayonaise at a local beauty supply. It'll condition it to where it will no longer be dry. Just leave it in 15minutes... rinse with cold water.

What can I do about my dry hair?

Try using a leave in conditioner made for dry hair. You also try a hot oil treatment once a week, those work well. Blow drying can dry your hair out too. Try letting it dry naturally a couple of times a week. If none of that works call the stylist that cut your hair and ask her/him suggestions. Good luck.

What can I do about my dry hair?

its kinda gross but it works.... get hellmans mayonaise.... apply it generously to damp/wet hair... allow to completely dry... wash, rinse.. if possible do not blow dry hair... for best results sleep with it in your hair over nite.

What can I do about my dry hair?

Do you use any sort of hair gel? That's usually the primary cause of dry hair. It could also be that you're washing your hair too frequently. I know it sounds nasty, but your scalp works the same way as any other skin surface. A little oil is NECESSARY. That's why your skin pores produce it. Dry scalp may make your hair seem dry. It could also be that you're blow drying way too long with too high a temperature. Your hair expands and contracts based on levels of acidity, temperature, etc. Hair IS organic. Don't fry it. It'll DIE.

What can I do about my dry hair?

The only thing that I can think of is the hot oil treatment. Instead of buying it from a little box at any store, I buy olive oil because it is more natural. This is what I do once a week, but, right now you should do this every other day:

You warm up some olive oil (make sure it's not hot, hot oil is very bad for your hair), brush out your hair (your hair has to be dry for this because if it's wet, the oil will just sit on top of the water and not penetrate properly through your hair), and apply it to your hair. Try combing it through your hair as well to make sure it's really in. Wash it out after 2-3 minutes.

Remember, make sure that the oil is only warm. Not hot!

To make it easier, put the olive oil in a plastic ziploc bag and place it in warm water. Works for me!

What can I do about my dry hair?

Try a deep-conditioning treatment.

What can I do about my dry hair?

many medical conditions can cause dry hair,

not eating your veggies, too much product on hair.

try a "humectant" shampoo and conditioner and a weekly or monthly deep conditioning. as needed.

avoid sprays and stuff makes it shiny.

main and tail and pantene and some others don't require huge amounts of cash to make dry hair manageable.

do not over wash/ over dry/over brush

best if you can air dry .

what you see is dead so you can only try to preserve it.

getting to the root of the problem is what you need.

pun intended.

eat right sleep get vitamins and if severe dry hair or skin go to an MD and find out why.

What can I do about my dry hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

What can I do about my dry hair?

Use some deep treatment for hair and follow up the tips in the source on how to do it.

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

i was wondering if i can leave in a thin layer of herbal essences straight conditioner in my hair, then blow dry it to make my hair straight, will that work or just not do anything?

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

I use that exact same shampoo, and I would say no. Herbal Essences has some awesome straight styling products that would work so much better. I'd try those. When you leave some of the conditioner in, the small amount of film can build up on your scalp, possibly giving you dander. Also, if you used your straightener, the layer might possibly stick to the hot plates and make them lose their straightening effect. You'd be better off trying the straight styling products. Hope this helps! Good luck.

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

no. it will look greasy. u need to wash it out,

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

nooo! your hair would be thick and oily, blow dry it dry, and then flat iron it

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

If its a leave in Conditioner, then yes.

If not,i don't really think that's a good idea.

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

conditioners are oily so the oil will make ur hair over-heat and the straightness wont last long...will get all puffy after awhile

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

no!! you have to wash it up!

it would be sticky otherwise.

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

It'll work, I've tried it. Only, it makes your hair feel really bad and oily. Also, you'll have to wash it soon because it doesn't feel that great. It gets kind of sticky after a while. If you want straight hair, buy a hair straightner. They work great with the Herbal Essence Pin-Straight Shampoo and Conditioner.

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

it will make it really greasy. They make sprays/creams to apply after straighten it that helps keep it straight and tame fly aways. You could also use biosilk before but don't over due it because it will make your hair greasy.

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

Unless it's a conditioner specifically meant to leave in your hair without rinsing, you need to rinse it out. If you don't, it'll be nasty, almost greasy feeling. There are kinds (Paul Mitchell for one) that are meant to be left in, but otherwise, gotta rinse it out!

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

no dont it will make ur hair nasty greasy~but u can purchase some spray leave in conditioners like Aussie has a gr8 one you spray on after washing and leave it in try some glass for frizz control or get a ladder down to keep it straight at a salon id personally go to Sally's and they can give u a few ideas~~~~~~~~

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

I personelly choose not to because your hair becomes greesy looking and it feels greesy and when you blow ry and straigten it.my hair becomes kind of sticky feeling.so I'D HAVE TO SAY NO.hope i helped%26lt;33

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

NO you can't do that. It'll damage your hair horribly.

Use a straightening balm or serum before you blowdry to make it straight (Paul Mitchell Super Skinny is great).

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

no use a product like bedhead control freak step for spray to straighten you hair.

also conair has a brush shaped like a sraightener that you use while blow drying

well good luck

Hair question? is it ok if i leave in herbal essences conditioner then blow dry it or straighten it?

Alot of leave in conditioners ingredients aren't any different to regular conditioners. So yeah. it's fine.. i do it all the time, just wash your hair every night so you don't get build up.

I have been putting conditioner on my dry hair to smooth it - did i do tons of damage?

it was starting to look really dry and frizzled and i found out if i lay some pantene on the bottom half it looked great. well months later my hair is in even worse shape. i know nothing about hair care except shampoo and conditioner and no hairdryer and pat gently with towel. the top of my head is greasy and bottom half of hair is dry dry dry...

I have been putting conditioner on my dry hair to smooth it - did i do tons of damage?

well, dont wash your hair everyday, trim your dry ends, and do a deep conditioning treatment once a week were you let the conditioner in your hair for a few hours and then rinse it out..... use Biosilk silk therapy for dry hair, not conditioner, that biosilk will restore the silk proteins lost in your hair and it will smooth the frizz... i hope this helped....

I have been putting conditioner on my dry hair to smooth it - did i do tons of damage?

hell no! what kind of conditioner is made

to damage hair! ryt? think about it.

but some advice:

only use brands u know

dont have it straightened (t wil dstroy ur hair)

if your current conditioner deosnt work

4 u, use new ones until you are satisfied

with the turnout of your hair.

i hope this helps u :%26gt;

I have been putting conditioner on my dry hair to smooth it - did i do tons of damage?

Mary ,you seem not to be treating your hair in a bad way

the only thing that could be hurting it, is the way you get the hair combed through. let me go over the dos and don'ts

always use a wide tooth comb, not a brush, holding the shaft, comb out the knots starting from the bottom up.Do section by section, never try to take out knots when hair is damp it MUST be completely wet,or hair will stretch and you will get split ends .good luck

I have been putting conditioner on my dry hair to smooth it - did i do tons of damage?

You haven't been damaging it but I would recommend changing your shampoo and conditioner every so often cause I get the same problem when I use the same one for to long. You can always use a moisturizing treatment like my favorite, a hot oil treatment once a week! But the key is to change your shampoo and conditioner probably every time your run out.

Hope this helps!

I have really really dry hair and i dont know what to do with it! Ive tried the olive oil thing but it didnt do much!

I dont mind spending a few extra dollars. Can anyone tell me what effective products i can use ??

Really Dry hair!!?

this is pretty simple, but it works when my hair is extremely dry. it makes it sooo soft

use Aussie 3 minute miracle worker as your conditioner

then when you get out of the shower pat your hair and squeeze it a little. put in some leave-in conditioner---i use paul mitchell, but garnier fructis works well

Really Dry hair!!?

Healthy hair tips:

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Neutrogena Triple Moisture, shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. It nourishes and

revitalizes dry dull damaged hair to softer shinier healthier hair everytime you wash it, it might cost alot but it's worth it;

Reviews:

Neutrogena.com

If you dye your hair alot, leave your hair alone and wait to dye it atleast 3 years later or so. Hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill dry/damage your hair.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled and managable.

Comb your hair about 20 times each side so your natural oils can fall into the rest of your hair for natural shine

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week, Washing hair everyday strips the natural oils of your hair into duller dry hair.

Discontinue to heat style your hair or your hair will end up more dry/damaged, wait till it's completely healthy and maybe heat style once a week.

Avoid combing hair while wet, gently use a wide tooth comb, hair is very vulnerable while wet and can break off easily.

Don't put your hair into pigtails, buns or ponytails while wet, that causes split ends, breakage and damage.

Deep condition twice a week to bring back moisture to your hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy hair grow and prevent split ends from happening.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, not with your nails, nails damage the scalp and nails tend to be dirty. it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water to open the hair cuticles.

While conditioner leave on for about 2-4 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to help seal the hair cuticles.

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair because of the alchohol it contains.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If hair is really dry, go to the salon to get a deep treatment on your hair.

Once a month use a special deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, vitamin e oil, mayonaisse, eggs, hot oil treatment, castor oil, coconut oil almond oil or avocado.

Take multivimains, vitamin e, follic acid or prenatal vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Drink lots of water for shinier/healthier hair and eat lots of protein and healthy food like meat, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs pasta, cooked beans and raw vegetables.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

While combing hair, comb it gentle to avoid breakage.

Really Dry hair!!?

a really good shampoo and condditioner should work . wash hair 2 times.good luck.

Really Dry hair!!?

get the pantene hair mask it comes in a round plastic container and works REALLY good my hair is incredibly dry becuase i use a straightening iron every day but if you use a good hair mask it replenishes it. for the very best results what i do is leave it on all night then shower in the morning and it will be silky and soft %26lt;3

also try not dyeing your hair for a while

and could help not to shower to much it drys hair out

every second day is perfect but if you have to more just dont shower more then once a day.

blowdrying your hair is'nt good for it either

Best shampoo for somewhat dry hair?

My hair ends are always dry, and my hair is not necessarily dry, but it's not 'silky'. Once someone a couple of days ago told me to try Garnier. Any other recommendations?

Best shampoo for somewhat dry hair?

I believe that conditioner is what you need for the dry ends. Buy a separate conditioner and when you apply it focus more on the tips than at the roots.

Believe it or not, yours is a common problem many women have and the reason why there are so many conditioners on the market today.

Best shampoo for somewhat dry hair?

maine and tail shampoo, it really good, for dry hair, thin hair, and it will help it grow.

Best shampoo for somewhat dry hair?

Look for shampoos and conditioners that say "moisturizing". You might also try a leave in conditioner such as Infusium. You didn't mention your hair type, how you care for your hair daily or the climate where you live. Using heated appliances such as blow dryers and curlers can cause dryness which you can counter act somewhat with heat activated conditioners and styling products. Products which contain glycerin are helpful as well.

Best shampoo for somewhat dry hair?

Try treseme. It works really well. But make sure that it's for dry or damaged hair. Also try a oil treatment in your hair once in awhile. It'll bring some silk toward your hair. Good luck(:

A few questions about dry, damaged hair?

There's a load of home-made treatments that I've heard. If you could answer any of these questions, that would be great.

Firstly, I've heard that putting mayonaise, olive oil, or even peanut butter can soften hair and add the extra cholesterol and oils that dry hair lacks. Is this true?

I've also heard that eating certain foods can help grow hair and keep it soft and strong. If this is true, does anyone know what kind of foods I should eat?

And finally, there's a debate on whether or not braids damage or help hair grow. So what's the deal behind that?

Also, if you have any websites that can answer my questions, that would be great.

A few questions about dry, damaged hair?

braids help your hair grow, people pull there hair out. Anytime that you get your hair braided you need to keep your hands out of your head for it to grow. I know a lot of people whose edges are broken off because they got braids and tried all these different styles not knowing that just pulling your braids back in a pony tail puts a strain on it.

A few questions about dry, damaged hair?

Ok the mayo eggs etc are good for putting shine in your hair and may even close a split end cuticlle for a day or so.

The food thing is more about the vitamins and you can eat good and take supplements which are biotin and silica. They are B vitamins. GNC sells a hhair skin and nails formula that works wonders for you, or you can just take a B complex and add an extre biotin and silica pill to you regiment.

Braids casue breakage so they do not make your hair dry, but they do pull the hair and cause breakage which causes fly aways which could look frizzy.

I recommend going to a GOOD stylist not a chep fantastic sams, but a small little salon in your area that seems a tad overpriced. This is where the good stylist hide. Go and splurge on yourselfget a good cut and if you highlight take a break and go dark for the winter. You may never go back!!! It conditions the hair unlike highlighting which drys it out. I was an aviod flat irioner until I went dark. Now my hair is so soft that I don ot have to straiten it to make it look silky and smooth. I just blow and go or let it dry naturally (something I could never do light). I hope I helped, I was once an ugly hair duckling, then I discovered my stylist who I thought was overpriced and she has helped me grow to love my hair! keeping regular cuts and colors helps. I go every 8-12 weeks. It is longer than reccomended, but it works. You could probably get away with a little longer if you don't color.

I have really dry hair that tangles easy. What is the best (at home) treatment to use?

My niece who was a hairdresser put me onto this very cheap effective remedy. You get a cheap spray bottle, pour in a tiny amount (about 5%) of your conditioner to the rest of clean water (95%) and shake it up before each use. Spray your hair and comb or brush as you prefer. Do it each time you style or groom your hair. Guaranteed to work with no great financial outlay for you.

Cheers

Lisa

I have really dry hair that tangles easy. What is the best (at home) treatment to use?

The best home treatment that you can use it's the Tangles Spray and Moisturizer of the kids Silk Elements daily. You can find the complete line in any Sally's Beauty Supply. I used then not only with my natural wavy hair but also with my natural hair extensions. It's give me a soft, shiny and moisture hair.

I have really dry hair that tangles easy. What is the best (at home) treatment to use?

try using water and your conditioner in a bottle and shake well. then put it in a spray bottle and spray when it is wet or tangled. (or bye a leave in conditioner) Now use a wide tooth comb and gentley comb all of those nasty tangles out. IT WORKS! this is coming from experience since i had waist length hair at one point and my mom had to comb out TONS of tangles. Best of Luck! ~ kiki

and do me a favor and check out my question....plz!

I have really dry hair that tangles easy. What is the best (at home) treatment to use?

IF YOU LIVE NEAR A SALLY HANSEN STORE,THEY HAVE CHOLESTEROL AND OIL TREATMENTS .TELL THEM WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS AND THEY WILL HELP YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT PRODUCT

I have really dry hair that tangles easy. What is the best (at home) treatment to use?

To keep some of the moisture in your hair from the conditioner, first go through your shower routine normally. Shampoo, rinse, conditioner, Rinse well then squirt a nickel sized dab of conditioner in your palm. Make a pony tail with your free hand in the middle of the back of your head. Do not put the conditioner in the hair close to your scalp. instead run your hand through the hair that is hanging in the pony tail. Rinse lightly, the water should run a little milky, (as if you mix half a cup of skim milk and half a cup of water together) Leave the rest of the conditioner in your hair.

they have this leave in conditioner it works as long as you wash your hair in the morning and brush your hair the night you put it in.

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

Ok, so I need help on you ladies who know a lot about hair. I went from brunette to blonde a little over a month ago and my hair is so dry! I have let it relax and haven't used heat on it. I wash it every other day and sometimes go three days without washing it. I use a good protein moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and use a Frederic Fekkai Mask on it twice a week and my hair is still so dry and thin. I used to have really nice thick hair, but now it's just ruined. Any advice on what to do with it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

mines not dry but thin, u may be allergic to the dye, but u can try sunsilk, the cream for dry hair, i use it, it works wonders

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

You might try doing a heat treatment. You can use the conditioner that you have, put it on your hair, and then put a heating cap on your head for about 15minutes,then rinse the conditioner out. I do this once a week and it makes my hair soft.

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

Sunsilk works really well, other than that I think you just need to give your hair a break. Your doing well with not washing every day also try not to use products on it for a while and deff don't dye it again. It will take a long time to grow back out.

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

all i can say is put some coconut oil to your hair..every time you go to sleep...it must be continue.ever

and then shampoo it and mixed it also a conditioner...

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

use some kind of a hair food and apply it to yo sculp after washing yo hair cos its probably dry which makes the entire hair dry...

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

use conditioners religiously and leave them on for atleast half an hour. the ones by Schwartzkopf are amazing

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

The bleach must have dried your hair and broke pieces off, why its thinning. I would definitly keep conditioning it, also maybe you should color it back to a darker color. Color actually is a deposit into hair and it will look healthier and shinier and feel thicker. Your hair type cannot handle the bleach. Also, if you can go w/o washing everyday and wash every other, your hair won't be as dry.

Good luck.

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

Get it trimmed regularly, DONT try to bleach it yourself, when you bleach hair you change the texture from healthy to brittle-which is what you now have. The only way to get rid of that brittle hair is to cut it off and start over. If you want it blonde GO to a salon, if you cant afford a salon, go to a Technical college in your area that has a Cosmetlolgy program, they will do it cheap. For now, when I get my hair done I like to get a clay-pack treatment, it makes my hair so shiny and soft, its made by Redkin, and its only an :in salon" treatment. Or, you can buy "ALL SOFT" by Redkin, keep moisturizing. I'm sorry to tell you this, but it sounds like that hair that is bleached is RUINED and has to be cut off....

P.S. Protein makes your hair brittle. Use protein ONCE a week ONLY, and a moisturizing conditioner EVERY day. This may make a difference for you!!

Good Luck.

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

TIPS: you should beat 2 eggs and run it though your hair and then rinse it out, do this every day, it will make your hair silky.

Use honey like it is shapoo. try it it really works!!!!!

Can anyone help me with my dry hair?

I had really thick hair when I was younger but then it started going thin a few years ago. I now use Dabur Vatika hair oil and leave it on overnight and wash it off in the morning. It has seriously made a huge difference. My hair is really thick again like it used to be.

It can also help your hair grow fast coz my friend had her hair chopped off to shoulder length. She really regretted that and her hair also grows really slow. She started using Dabur vatika hair oil and you should see her hair now...it's sooooo long and gorgeous.

Good Product for Dry Hair??

I mean a really good product...

Good Product for Dry Hair??

in order to keep my curly hair tame %26amp; healthy (works well for just plain dry hair, too!) is using either organic virgin unrefined coconut oil on it (you can find it at stores like whole foods) or sweet almond oil ... just a dab'll do ya! i do this every day when i get out of the shower, or after my hair dries, depending on what look i'm going for (styled or in a pony tail or bun).

Is infusium23 really good for dry and frizzy hair? which one should i use? and how much does it cost?

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i c

Well, first of all, i would get a trim, to take out all of the split ends and some of hte damages on the ends, while you are there, you should ask the salon which products are the best for your hair to make it work better

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

First of all.. if your hair is really dry, get a hair cut and cut those bad ends. After that start using a really good conditioner.. I think panteen and garnier works great for my thin hair. Then you might want to try using this Biosilk serum. Put it on when your hair is wet. After doing all that when I use my straightner I see steam from my hair and that tells me that I conditioned my hair well. If you dont see steam then your just frying the ends of your hair.

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

oooooh dis is suppost to RELE work... after youve finished washing your hair....put in LOADS of conditioner and massage it into your hair rele well and then leave it in for half an hour after that you wash it out... hope this helped!!

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

let me guess ...you dont spray anything in your hair before you straiten it to protect it . that happened to my Friend and her hair looks kinda fried. But you should definitely buy TRESEMAE heat protector or ask a person at your local hair place!

because if you dont soon it might fall out

it will look a lot better once you start protecting it every time you straiten it

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

start using shampoon and conditioner for dry hair.

go to a salon and get a deep conditioning treatment.

**take a break for the the flat iron.**

wash, dry and flat iron your hair in the morning, then before you go to bed tie a bandana around your head to keep it flat and go to sleep. the next day don't wash or flat iron your hair. do that a few times a week and it will help. if your hair smells bad or builds up oil on your scalp just run some baby powder through it with your hands. not a lot of powder though, just enough to absorb any extra oil.

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

I'm not sure what kind of straightener you mean. If you mean like the perm straighteners you should get a hot oil treatment. If you mean from a flat iron then you can get flat iron spray at a beauty supply store that you spritz on your hair before you iron it. It helps the look hold and protects the hair from damage.

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

use condeition shampoo.

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

Seriously, cut as much as the dry damaged areas off, then condition weekly (use deep conditioner) Then get hair trimmed every 6/8 weeks until hair is back to normal.

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

First get a trim. Then apply a deep conditioner on damp hair and cover it with a warm towel for about 20 minutes. Do this a couple times a week. Find a good reconstructor conditioner to wrap your hair in. Try Paul Mitchell The Mask.

Also when you use your straightener don't use it without using a shine product with it. Shine products that are made for straight irons help to protect your hair from the heat.

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

There is plenty you can do! First off give your hair some TLC! A deep conditioning treatment would be very helpful... You can go to a salon for that or if you know a licensed stylist have them get a treatment for you... I like ones that require heat for a full penetration! When you shampoo your hair apply the conditioner and let it sit on your hair for 1-5 minutes at a time! Try to cut down on styling products because they contain alot of alcohol in them! Try to cut down on blow styling and the flat iron... Your hair needs repair! If anything let your hair air dry, apply a thermal protectant on your hair and then flat iron! Ive come across these issues alot when I was a hairstylist. Make sure to get a trim every month! On average hair grows 1/2 an inch per month! Try to cut down on ponytails to avoid breakage! Try washing hair everyother day instead of everyday to avoid washing away hairs natural emollient... I could go on and on giving you the lowdown on the structure of hair but I think you have some things to go off now!

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

Well straightening your hair by itself is very damaging to your hair. Put something on your hair to replenish moisture before you start straightening your hair(I recommend Biosilk or Thermasilk).

I used to straighten my hair everyday and it caused it to fall out and it was so short and dry all the time. Try to limit the days you straighten your hair and take special precautions when straightening it.

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

you should trim the split ends and get a good shampoo, conditioner, and moisterizer!

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

Use an anti-heat product. I use one from Sunsilk and my hair does not look dry.

I HAVE VERY DRY HAIR from my straightner and i dont know what to do to fix it, is there anything i could do!?

try a trim, deep conditioning treatment and if you are not using a ceramic flat iron, get one!! use a protecting thermal spray before flat ironing

my hair is really dry and frizzy and i got the 3-minute masque by garnier fructis and i think it worked really well...plus it smells fantastic :)

HELP!!!! dry hair!!!!?

An excellent home remedy for your dry hair is an avocado smashed up and about 3 tablespoons of olive oil or peanut oil. Mix it up well and then put it on your hair and comb it through if you can, then put a shower cap on and leave it as long as you can, maybe while you are doing stuff around the house or anything. You should always put a protective serum on your hair and use a professional shampoo and conditioner like redkin allsoft.

HELP!!!! dry hair!!!!?

soak your hair in beer, then let it sit for 5 minutes, then rinse out with moisturizing shampoo (like, maybe every two weeks for the next 3 months)Don't blowdry/straighten/curl your hair for at least 3 months. Don't use hairspray/gel for 3 months. If you must use some kind of tamer, mix together beer and lime. Also, mayo is good for your hair. Sounds gross, but true. Mix avacado and mayo (bout 1/2 and 1/2, making a few servings [servings: how m uch conditioner you use, or how much it take to coat your hair]) and leave in for 15 minutes. Then rinse.

HELP!!!! dry hair!!!!?

If you want cheap home remedies, I have a few:

-as a leave-in conditioner, distribute a dab of body lotion thru the middle to the ends, after shampooing.

-If you have fly-aways or frizzies throughout the day, a tiny dot of Vaseline used like a Pomade works beautifully, %26amp; moisturizes too.

-I used to use eggs, beer %26amp; vinegar as a treatment after shampooing....Eggs condition, beer %26amp; vinegar clarify %26amp; shine so I just combined them all. It stinks, but it does work. use it after shampooing, %26amp; make sure to rinse out well. It helps to use a scented styling product or leave-in conditioner to mask the temporary vinegar odor.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

Deep condition twice a week

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water.

When using a conditioner leave on for about 1-3 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to have shiny hair

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If you dye your hair do it atleast once a year, hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill your hair.
