I think using a volumizer will only complicate your situation, but that's just my opinion, since I don't really know how your hair truly is. Your hair may be thicker than normal, therefore you should seek out a shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer that better suits your needs. Excuse my terminology, but there are not many white hair products that cater to naturally thicker, dryer hair. For this reason, you may consider venturing into trying a few black hair products, since they may do more for your type of hair. Your problem may very well be that the products you are using are too light for your hair, whereas black hair products are typically more heavy duty.

If not, I would simply suggest using a more-than-usual amount of a creamy, and *light* moisturizer, then flat-ironing your hair all the way through, from root to end. This increased use of heat mixed with this light moisturizer should not only help your hair to bounce, but also give it a nice shine.

Hot oil treatments are a great idea.

Leave-in conditioners are a great idea.

Spending much more money than you have to for someone to give you a quick fix, is not... a great idea.

If you are Caucasian, yes, you do need to wash her hair daily, because your pores naturally produce oils into your hair, all day, everyday, and washing your hair is getting those oils out before it oils up, oversaturates, and weighs your hair down. Maybe her pores are not producing those oils, which does not mean she should not wash or do anything to her hair, it means just the opposite.

"Putting more stuff into your hair will only make it much worse" is further from the truth, if her hair is dry, she needs to put more oil or moisturizer into her hair because her scalp is not producing her natural oils.

And yes, putting heat on your hair daily is tasking on your hair -- but if you are moisturizing it appropriately, then these negative effects will be almost just as equally countered.

Minee used to be the same,

You should use some volumising kind of shampoo and conditioner, or like dry damaged hair stuff.

Alsoo if you want it to 'bounce' you need to use volumising products, and keep your hair well looked after :]

i recommend tresemme shampoo and conditioner (types for dry hair or to make it shiny)! it works very well, last year my hair looked dry and 'limp' but now my curls are back, and my hair is bouncy and full. i also recommend a leave in conditioner right after you get out of the shower and towel dry your hair. a light shine serum to add shine after hair is dry, or maybe mouse right after you get out of the shower. hope this helps!

No normal conditioner is going to help you, and adding more and more hair products and chemicals are only going to make it much, much worse. Go to a hair salon or specialty hair supply shop and ask them what they recommend for extremely dry hair (usually a very strong conditioner or hair mask). You'll pay a lot more, but your hair will look A LOT better.

Also, get into the habit of trimming it regularly.

And yes, putting more and more products and chemicals into your hair does make it worse. It needs a cut and a very high-quality deep conditioner. The stuff you find at the drugstore offers a temporary solution only.

there is this product called John Freeda (sp?) hair serum...its like $6 and it looks like a little eye dropper in a bottle. just squeeze a little bit on your hand when your hair is damp...not soaking wet...then style your hair or whatever you do...do that for a few days everyday and you should notice a big difference...then after that just use it like once or twice a week...hope that helps!! :)

Hair is dry and wont "bounce"?

try leave in conditioners, deep conditioning, hot oil. all that stuff should help

Do you straighten or blow dry your hair everyday? If so, then you are frying your hair which is why it feels fake and doesnt bounce. Do you wash it everyday? That could be another reason, because water and shampoo/conditioner dries out hair.

If I were you I would not do anything with my hair for a few days, just brush it. If it does not improve, I would go to a hair salon and ask a professional how to get that bounce.
