Greasy AND dry hair?!?

I have curly/wavy hair. It's weird,but I have frizzy split ends but the roots of my hair always feel greasy and flat! I don't put conditioner on my scalp-just on the ends and I shampoo only about twice a week because I don't want to dry out the rest of my hair, but nothing's working. I usually just use suave products.Any suggestions?

Well, I suggest that you dont use suave products because they are not good for your hair. I researched shampoos and studies show that the best and most healthiest shampoo to use would be herbal essences body envy, colour me happy, dangerously straight, drama clean etc.

yep the austrialian kangaroo shampoo works really well its called root cleanser+tip mender, i use it and it seems to work well.

try using john frieda shampoo. if you wear your hair curly use the curling one, and if you wear it straight use the straightening one....it works great for your hair. i have really think hair so i always use lots of shampoo, and then like half the amount of conditioner and it works really well for me. if you have split ends get a hair cut, and then when you style your hair in the morning put a leave in conditioner on your ends only, but make sure you blow dry/flat iron after so it doesnt look nasty! i use garnier fructise long and strong leave in conditioner

uhhh.....i have the same hair. kinda same problem but really dry at times and bushy and at times greasy....%26gt;%26gt;you should wash your hair every other day. that's the best method and use fructis products like the hair serum!! :)- works well...

my hair is like that too %26amp; i dont ever put conditoner on the scalp either. But there are a couple things that could help. I would use a better shampoo (head and shoulders could even work), or biolage is really good, it'll help de-grease your scalp but smooth your hair. .(.Biolage is a little more expensive, but it doesnt have as much alcohol as the less expensive brands (like suave), which causes your hair to dry out.) Also when you wash your hair massage your scalp lightly w/your nails to get the build up off.

I also use pantene conditioner after i shampoo at the ends, other than the expensive redkin smooth down, its the only conditioner that really helps de-frizz my hair well.

%26amp; I HAVE to use a leave in conditioner at the ends of my hair, i found Biolage Fortifying Conditioner works great (%26amp; i striaght iron my hair almost every day)..

Use Dove moisturinzing on the roots only. Then apply the Dove moisturizing conditioner to the ends only.

Only apply hair conditioner to the ends. Use a shampoo like vosene that is for greasy hair. Don't scrub your scalp too much when you wash your hair or when you brush your hair as this will encourage the glands in your scalp to produce more oil than usual.
