listen, the best product is olive oil. buy a cheap regular bottle of it and while you are in the shower, coat your hair with it and "wash" with hot water. bring your hair up in a bun with a hair tie or sumthin. then, after you step out of the shower, just leave it in for whatever time you have..be it 5 mins or a couple days. your hair will improve! a really good shampoo is aveda damage remedy. i got my hair fried at a salon %26amp; my regular stylist recommended i use this to heal it. %26amp; it works sooooo well. worth every penny. i used to flat iron my hair a lot %26amp; what i used to protect from heat damage was http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh... amazing stuff, too

Redkin's Allsoft shampoo and conditioner are really good for damaged/coarse hair. Their deep conditioner is amazing too! I also really like Hotties from Got2Be, they make hair super soft! I use Nexxus Heat Therapy spray before I blow dry or straighten my hair. It leaves it really soft and shiny!

For really damaged hair and frizzy hair get Garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner as well as the sleek and shine serum. Massage the serum when hair is wet. What I use is the Paul Mitchell silky smooth shampoo and conditioner. I don't know if there are Sally beauty supply stores or a good store to get beauty supplies near you, but I go there for my stuff all the time. I have the WORST hair, of course, it is self inflicted (color, highlights, perms, etc...). But I found a few product lines that they have that work wonders. I like the Nature's Therapy line by L'Oreal that they carry. They offer nice, thick deep conditioners that really do help. OR (I know it sounds appalling) there is a line called Silk Elements and they have a "hair mayonnaise" that works WONDERS.

As for heat protectants, I usually use the "ion" line heat protectants. They keep hair from getting frizzy and they give it a nice shine.

loreal professional absolut repair. you want the shampoo and the treatment to start with instead of the conditioner. and only rinse about 90% of treatment out of the ends. my hair is past my waist-so it is old hair-and i have been getting it blonded for over 4years which was fine until i moved interstate and went to a new hairdresser!! she cooked it it was actually breaking off!!! plus where we moved to has really hard water, but after some persistence and nurturing my hair is healthy again. as far as the heat protection goes i only use my straightener once in a blue moon so i can not help you there, but i would advise to get a hairdryer with the cool air option-an ionic one is best and to pick a few days a week to let your hair dry naturally, bet you can work out a style that looks great!

Yes dove is great!!! You have to give it a go, the conditioning mask in a tub. It really is a miracle, leave it in for 5 min and as soon as you dry your hair you'll feel the difference. Trust me i've tried loreal, fructis, kerastese, sebastian and god knows what else. give dove a go, those guys are experts when it comes to moisture. You can get it from any supermarket or chemist and they're only like $8.
