GHD Straiteners!! (Personally used them for 2 years and my hair no longer is frizzy, dry or has spit ends) Lots of moisture rich shampoos, regular hair cuts (4-6 weeks if you want to keep the length) and treatments. Ask you hairdresser they will tell you exactly what your hair needs.

I have the same problem, try using Therapy shampoo and condition by Dove, it helps a ton! Also I found that using Aussie's 3 minute miracle condition a couple times a week helps to give a boost in repairing the damage.

the dryness on your hair might be causing the splits try a treatment hair with mayo just apply it on your hair cover it with a plastic bag for about 25 minutes then rinse it out with warm water , shampoo hair with a pantene mosturizer and conditioner no freeze control just mosturizer , repit the treatment every 2 weeks and that will help you alot!!!
My hair is very curly and dry with splits what should i do to reduce splits and for smoothness?
i had the same prob until i discovered .. to not brush my hair.
i dont even own a comb or a brush..i only run my fingers through my hair after using conditioner in the shower. after i stoped using a brush a few years ago.. i've never had split ends again.
i use hair gel or mouse if i wear my hair down to style it.
curly hair usually can get away with not being brushed
good luck

The best thing to do to reduce splits and increase smoothness would be to find a good conditioner that will leave your hair feeling healthy, but not greasy. The thing is that you have to find a conditioner that works for you. Everyone's hair is diffferent. Run it through your hair with your fingers going from the root to the tips. Leave it in for a few minutes and then wash it out completely. After your hair loses it's dryness, only use the conditioner every other day so that you can avoid it being greasy.
I'd suggest cutting off the split ends. If you have color-treated hair, you might also want to see if you can go a little longer in between treatments.
Other things that can help include using your blowdryer at lower heats and avoiding straighteners that work with heat. These will dry your hair out. If you do want straight hair, see your hair stylist about getting a perm.

Always put cream in it an hour or so before washing it, apply intensive mask and leave on for 10 min, trim every month, find a salon that blowdries for reasonable price. My salon blowdries my hair for 70 AED= around 19$ so i visit them at least once a week.

get a good haircut for the split ends and get a deep conditioning treatment. use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner(condition on the ends so you don't way the hair down) and use leave in conditioner to get tangles out after shampooing.

I have exactly the same problem! I use the aussie shampoos and conditioners and find them very good, especially the 3 minute conditioner. When I was younger my mum used to soak my hair with olive oil and wrap a towel around my head and leave it overnight. In the morning my hair was lovely and soft. Alternatively, find a good leave in conditioner. Have your ends trimmed every 6 weeks aswell! Good Luck!!
